No offense, but how is 8-6 much better than 8-5? The best way to settle this may be to play 1-8 vs 1-8 at the end of the season. The best way may be to just have everyone treat all of the last round of scrimmages as if they counted and include the Championship game as well. Those should all be between comparable teams as far as positioning.

It matters about who set the tactics the right way and who out plans the other better.
