The bottom line though, is we're in this for the long haul. We feel that our best chance of winning long term is with BTB, and are therefore going to plan for when BTB players begin to decline. When BTB hits Season 10, we will probably do the same thing with them.

Please read posts in their entirety before you comment. If there's 1 thing I hate, it's answering a question by repeating something I've already said.

I don't trust you or your taint-licking guild. I will personally see to it that no Windsor player joins up with BTB.

+1 for the use of the word "taint"

Ok sounds good. That way everybody can rest assured that all policing that needs to be done is in your capable hands...

I can guarantee you that NO Windsor players will end up on Beer Town. We are retiring them to get our 70% FP back.

Everybody has their own reasons for this. Some people are trying to save money, some people just honestly don't like their character, and some people don't want to keep up more than one or two players.

Me, I'm retiring my players so I can continue to play without having to spend more money on FlexPoints - not because I can't afford them, but because I'm dissatisfied with the way this game has been developed recently.

I think too many things have been changed at once with little to no communication to the player base on how exactly those changes will take affect.

So while I'm sure Bort will get by without my $20 a month buying FlexPoints, it's my simple way of expressing my dissatisfaction. I'm sure I'll be fine creating my new players with the 8000 or so FlexPoints I'll get retiring my current ones. No need to spend money for A WHILE.

We are going to lay this on you all now so there are no surprises.

We made the Windsor team on week 8 of Season 1. Like most of you we had no idea how fun the game would be and we had no clue how to make a character. We had some good fun "role-playing" our toons and trash talking. We had some success (7-2, 15-1 and 11-5) and we really enjoyed the competition.

We've come to the realization that we didn't really build our characters right on Windsor. We've out leveled this league since we've been in it but never had the degree of success that we should have. We are MMO veterans and fully understand what it means to "re-roll", especially in a beta.

The Windsor Warriors will be "re-rolling" starting day one of season five. We will not be a "gutted" team that has no hope. We will be an easy win for a couple of seasons and then we'll be back for blood. Beer Town will remain intact as we feel that our builds are far superior (though far from perfect) than Windsor. We will rename Windsor to our guild name, The Purple Dragons. (www.purpledragons.net)

I know we've been yelling the loudest about gutted teams and how they ruin the integrity of the league but I hope you can see how this is different. This is a legitimate rebuild of an existing team. We will be competitive again in short order.

We will be playing out this season with the intention to go deep into the playoffs and win a title. I know there are some outstanding teams in our way but we will not be rolling over for anyone. Next season we will do our best to win every time we are on the field. I don't expect to win any games but one can hope.

Thank you

Sir William
Guildmaster - Purple Dragons

This may sound odd to you guys, but DaviTrav30 is sad to see you guys go ! Although sometimes I have not shown it, I have a lot of respect for the whole Purple Dragons organization and I admire your gaming skills. This takes a lot of guts to admit that you were wrong in your player builds and its even harder to start over from scratch again. I will be the first to say that you guys will definitely be a force to be reckoned with in a couple of seasons when you 'right the ship'. I enjoy good rivalries and this will be one less rivalry for Hollywood in USA A 2. The league will be kinda boring next season, so I guess that I must focus on our team goal of moving up ?
Good Luck To You Guys,

You've still got Beer Town to play with. Though I think you guys have gotten your team settled down and should be a contender to be playing with Baltimore next season anyway.

I think it this the smart thing to do. You keep your team intact so no recruiting issues and don't waste fp on players that you don't like or want.
Good luck over the next couple seasons, it will be a long road.

I actually have to agree with the whole being dissatisfied with the way this game has been developed recently. If you've developed a player a certain way to work within a system, and then the system is changed next season without much warning, you have no way to prepare and end up with a fucked player. It's definitely frustrating.

Now that that's out of the way, HAHA Purple Drags!

It's a pretty interesting decision, and could probably really pay off down the line.
Good luck with it.

On a side note, we have been asking for a complete player respec for months.

The development staff has been uncooperative with that request, and all the while, they constantly change major aspects of the game without explaining exactly how the changes will affect the outcome of the simulations.

If you don't like our adaptation to the current state of the game, go to a public forum and complain about it.

Doing it here is preaching to the choir.

Why should you get player repsecs because you have an unbalanced build or didn't know the "perfect" build for your first player? While I would love to redistribute some of my HB or RGs SPs I don't think we should be allowed to, even for more flex points. Part of the fun of GLB is trying a different build because you can and experimenting, no one should expect a perfect player for their first build. Just look at the re-roll button, players could have 3-4 more points in every major attribute now, but its part of the game. If you think other teams in our conference figured the game out and had perfect builds the first go round I would bet your wrong.
