Yeah I'm still confused why the sim had us throwing the ball. The Al were designed for us to run and run only at that point in the game. Yet we throw while leading with under 1min 20seconds to go? Damn bugs.

It was actually tied when you guys started throwing crazy. I'm guessing the AI wanted to win or you guys accidentily had your when late down Ai points set wrong? Who knows. I would test it and see what it says.

Yeah at least it was a friendly. I know we learned alot from this game. Our Defensive Al was a complete test, looks like some things worked, while other didn't, so we learned from that, ALOT.

As for us throwing, the Al was designed to go to OT. I'd rather lose a coin flip than turn the ball over on our side of the field. That was our login and our game plan. That's why I said bug, we had it plotted right, it just didn't happen that way. Takes us back to BETA, LOL. The thing isn't perfect.

I don't agree with that philosophy (unless you were deep in your own territory). Even on a bad day if you have 3 turnovers in 75 offensive plays that is only 4% chance of a turnover. So you are trying to avoid a 4% mistake to get to a 50/50 coin flip? And looking at your team you have very few turnovers (1 in 6 games?). Lets assume you are lucky and do win the coin flip. After a normal return you are still in danger of a turnover on your side of the field.

You probably should just run your offense like normal (you would have to in overtime anyway) If you run out of time then you go to overtime. Or you can go for the win. But to completely shut it down just to get to overtime? There is no reward and you only reduce the risk a little bit (you can still fumble while running out the clock or have a turnover in overtime).

Not trying to take a shot at you. Just an interesting football philosphy discussion.

What do you mean by "complete test"? You mean you guys were trying something new and weren't trying to win? You can't just say good game, and that we beat you fair and square? I guess it just kinds of gets under my skin that you would throw that in there, pretending like you guys didn't give it your all. And if in fact you guys didn't give it your all, then this whole scrimmage was stupid.

I'm sure both teams learned A LOT from this game. Well, no matter what the score was, good game anyways.

Well I guess we learned nothing from this game since Willow Creek wasn't trying to win. It's only a scrimmage no need for excuses if you where testing stuff out keep them to yourself It shows a complete lack of class. We took this scrimmage to see how we would do against the top team in the East. We are not even the top team in the West so that tells you how strong the West is.

Our defense was a complete test and we threw alot more, so yes it was a 100% complete test, but we did try to win. So props go out to the AMS.

I'm a real life football coach, and are team has a solid Defense. So with this said we have it plotted to live and die with them, So we would rather take a game OT and force a team to go short field than risk passing. It was a simply glitch in the sim, but no worries here.

Good game Phantoms, that was a close one, and you also missed a 23 yd FG in there too, that really hurts when your offense performs as its supposed to and then miss a chippie. Good Luck this year.
