on top of not recruiting early like you guys, i had to move the day I got my team. you try signing players on your roommates phone until you get internet and i swear you'll hate your life

Tax and I were recruiting before he got the team, and I am very glad we did. It was fun at first, but got to be annoying as hell when the teams came out, and you would send out 100ish messages/pms and get maybe 1 response.

Yeah it was the same way for me. I recruited the day before teams came out. If I had waited, I might have a team of level 6s now...

I didn't even think of recruiting beforehand. Over a three day period, i sent out 120ish messages a day and barely got responses

just of OFFENSE players!

I got Sevastopol (formerly Chernobyl) a couple days AFTER the season started. It has been impossible to get things moving in the right direction, but I'm as determined as ever. It's tough not having that window before the season started to bring some talent on.

You guys get it two ways.

One, the player market doesn't have many players 10+, and there's a lot of competition.
Two, you get hit from chemistry.

My strategy was to look for guys a little lower in level who had builds I liked. I figured we'd start out 0-5 or so, but it hasn't quite turned out that way. I'm still hoping for a strong 2nd half.

And make no mistakes about Sevastopol, my team realizes you got dealt a horrific schedule to start the season. You should be able to turn it around.

It's just tough being dealt a team that was SO thin at multiple spots and having to fight not to get superior talent, but just to get a roster full enough so that my guys aren't exhausted every game.
You can't bring in top talent, because they see their PT being compromised. You can't bring in lower levels, because they feel they won't get enough PT. And you have to deal with your own standards as an owner, as they relate to how crappy a build has to be for you to not be willing to sign a guy and how active you want your team to be. I wish I had been the owner from the first day to have been able to use that damn offseason.

ya you definitely got the short end of the stick on that one. Doesn't help when well-built potential players check your team out and see the record. A lot of the FAs want to do nothing but win a trophy and then move on. Sad but true.

I worked really hard as soon as the end of the season came close. I knew they were going to release the teams, like they do at the end of every season. Recruiting was extremely difficult, alas I was able to roundup a defensive squad. Many hours of sending PM's to people. Posting and monitoring the recruitment forums, etc. I didn't think I was going to be able to get it done. Somehow I did. What a chore!!!

I'm actually running into cash problems now, did the math and i'll be 315k short. any way to combat this? Sure the loan is a possibility, but don't want to lose the team

Hate to say it, but you might have to sell a few players or take the risk on a loan.

If you could make the playoffs, you'd get at least 100k, but i dont know what the chances are of that.

I don`t know why i`m helping a possible rival but have you maxed out concession prices?

I did, and although i`m now selling less i`m making a fair bit more profit.

I heard Mingren is trying to buy all the teams in the league. This way he is assured a championship.
