To me it looks extremely accurate

Our team wants out of the Western Conference and we would like to take our 15 brethren teams with us. Also, can you kick out the 16 thieves that have taken residence in our former conference.

You really think that Spicewood and Buffalo will both go undefeated from hereon out? You gotta be kidding me.

You guys said you missed the Elves commenting in here

I guess posting the projections help out with that issue. All we had to do is make sure someone is projected to do better than them.

I don't understand how any kind of prediction spreadsheet can come up with that kind of formula from the first 3 weeks.

We (Oakland) are 4-0 and beat Spicewood 3-1 and the formula picks us to finish 8-8 and Spicewood to finish 15-1.

I don't think we will go undefeated, but i also don't think we will lose 8 games. I honestly believe that no one in the west will go undefeated.

This has happened because of the strength of your wins. 1 quality win with Spicewood. The other 3 wins are against #'s 14, 15, & 16 in the conference. You have a tougher remaining schedule than Spicewood.

haha...oops. I guess I should not always trust copy and paste without proofreading huh? Sorry for belittling all the West teams by labeling them East . Error has been corrected

No. Just take a look at what was posted, and tell me it's serious.

I know it is mathematically based, but to say it looks iffy is being generous.

Who do you think Austin is going to lose to? How about Oakland? You really think Spicewood and Buffalo, two teams that haven't shown promise in the past, run the table? Look at Buffalo's schedule... outside of Spicewood, they played two 0-4 teams and a 1-3 team. Spicewood has played a decent schedule, but just because you play top teams all the time does not mean you are the best.

Lets not forget this is generated based on the opponents that teams have played already, and how they faired against them. Even a win, if it is only by a couple to a below average team will hurt them in the rankings. Plus, everyones team plays differently then it did in week 1-2, so this ranking is just so-so right now. I think it will be more acurate by about week 8.

I don't think anyone is thinking that. This is based on a numbers spreadsheet. Buffalo and Spicewood have both blown out a low team with 100+ point wins. You guys haven't faced those teams yet. When you do, they will change. Don't shoot the messenger who donated time to do this. This might be useful later, but now its just interesting...

The spreadsheet has an attachment showing game by game predictions which I have not given to you. To answer your qestions..

Austin Loses to Spicewood, Buffalo, and Las Vegas.

Oakland's projection does seem off showing 4 remaining wins coming against Portland, San Diego, Waco, and Miami.

Your right, playing top teams early does not mean your the best. But it does mean the remainder of the schedule will be easier than the team who have only played against the lower leveled teams.

Eh those sheets are to screwed up early. No way the hawks and new hampshire finish like that and no way orlando goes 500.

I think we should definitely just skip the rest of the regular season and just use these standings for playoffs...

I think Austin wins at least 2 of 3 against those teams. After the way they played against the Rats in our scrimmage game and the dismantling of the Elves, I'm a believer.
