Hey, I moved here from Chicago back in '05. I would rather be in the desert over the arctic air you get in Chicago any day!!! I will never forget back in 2001. New Years Eve in Chicago... It was like -20 wind chill, was so damn cold my wife and I decided to just go back to our hotel room and 'relax' and skipped out on the party we were invited to - to watch the fireworks down on the lake-front. That was some of the worst weather I have ever been around in my life!!

But yeah, Phoenix is hotter than hell. I live in the 'East Valley' Gilbert, AZ to be exact. I love it... It's just hot this time of year!

Yeah my 'rents have a place in Naples, FL... And it is nasty with the humidity. I think the only place that is worse - that I have been is Houston. That place is disgustingly hot AND humid!

QFT Houston sucks. I live here now and it was 100 degrees today right about 5 in the evening. And the worst part is if you have to have the nasty heat you should at least have the beach but no... not here.

Try northern MN. Lately we've been running about 90+ temp along with about 50% humidity or higher. I mean it starts to sprinkle rain just because it's so humid. Then in another few months I'll get to (like Chi town) plow through many feet of snow, deal with temps that in my town of Hibbing (home of Bob Dylan) it'll be a regular temp of a balmy -10 or worse for a couple 2-3 months through winter. I live just south of the city that last I heard had the national record for the coldest temp recorded in the US at something like -80 below zero without the windchill factor.

I'll take the nice 85, sunny, and floating down a river in Sconie country like I did last weekend. Now I just have to get ready to for winter and check the snow blower soon.

I grew up in Palm Springs have lived in Vegas and then made the crackpot attempt to move to Colorado I don't know why I can't just find a happy medium but instead I go from desert to snow. lol
