Good stuff.

One question I have though; why don't the rankings ever change?

Don't get me wrong, my team is #1 in your rankings, but regardless of the outcomes, the rankings themselves don't seem to change.

They're not his rankings. They're Killertoad's pre-season rankings. http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=737898

Well folks, you won't be surprised at this, but the defensive coordinator for the Saipan Fighters resigned today and the offensive coordinator has not show up for practice. The DC Jasonthelamb was tired of that cattleprod the owner was swinging around and had enough of comicfanman's mouth about the miss tackles. So he turned in his whistle and the comicfanman is now running the defense with help from bb174 his GM advisor. The OC ARMANDOF has failed to call about his no show and comicfanman has been stuck handling the offensive plans too. Will it be to much pressure for comicfanman this next game against the IC Incinerators who are favored -25.5 over Saipon?

In the locker room (G)Skull CrossBones has not been attending practices and team meetings and will most likely sit the bench. (G)Willie Shields is ready to step up and play back up at both guard spots when he is needed. Big week for Willie to show off some skills. (QB)Drew Dixon is wanting a trade to better help the team, he is a dedicated team player who thought his trade could bring Saipan another great defensive player. Owner not likely to allow this but not a definite decision made there. (LB)Petey Buch is a little upset about his new role as back up linebacker but is willing to gut out the season if it benifits the team. And rumor has it that (CB)Allen Rossum is offering to buy a car for the blocker who sends him on his way for his 1st KR or PR of the season.

IC Incinerators are pretty confident about the game but after last games performance by the Fighters, they are going to practice rally hard and not take the game lightly like the Co-Op City Blitz did.

This could be a make or break game for Saipan Fighters, but don't count them out yet. They have some surprises in store for the league.

The U Canes may not be the only team disbanding this season in the Oceania Pro League. Saipan gives up another close one and team members are now beginning to ask for trades. QB Drew Dixon demanding a trade for lack of playing time. Also DT Baby Rogers is missing his home town and want to play with the Nebraska Husker Maniacs, but trade negotiations are falling apart and this trade may not happen.

The OC has stepped down for sure today. This was confirmed with a meeting with the owner today and his duties have fallen on the shoulders of comicfanman. Comicfanman will be handling the scouting, offensive and defensive game plans for the rest of the season.

Saipan gave the IC Incinerators a run for their money in the first half only to hit a brick wall in the second. Their hopes are beginning to fall apart after failing to upset two teams they might of had a chance against. The Fighters are beginning to fall apart inside and out and the owner is beginning to wonder what he is doing with a team in this league. What will become of the Saipan Fighters? Stay Tuned...

Keep your head up Saipan, you played a tough game. With all your recent trades your chemistry just can't be good between the newer players. Give them time to practice together and things will turn around, you'll see. Stick with it!!

No worries , I'm just entertaining you guys. It is believable isn't it. LOL

I hope to get revenge in the playoffs - if we make it, so watch out man. Good game by the way, 2nd half killed us.

For the record, DC jasonthelamb handed in his whistle after being undermined, even though he had a game-plan set, and was about to post it, but was nice enough to go over to his grandmas and do her lawn.

Just so you don't think I just chickened out or anything.

Jasonthelamb is right. Don't think anything less of this guy from these write ups. They are just for fun and entertainment purposes. Jason is doing the right thing taking care of the more imporatant things in life and I commend him on that. He is still part of the Saipan Fighters organization and the Saipan Dragons younger dynasty team.

Now back on to the entertainment
8/8/08 - a day late (that rhymes)

With the recent trades of QB Dixon and DT Rogers for cash to help meet their requests the Saipan Fighters have aquired new Kicker Peter Von Jorger who should help when needed in pinch situations. Kicker Matt Bryant has wanted to be a party animal lately and spend more time with the ladies than on the practice field. This showed in is missed FG last game.

Up next for Saipan Fighters is another tough game versus the Nauru Tiger Sharks who are 2-1 on the season. The Tiger Sharks have the upper hand in this one but don't count out the Fighters who are desperately looking for their first win and first upset. They need a complete four quarters of hard and decent play by all members of the team.

Nauru (2-1) -29.5 over Saipan (0-3)

Well it is a sad day in Saipan. Four straight losses and numerous trades happening before the trade deadline. Nauru Tiger Sharks played a very strategic game and planned a great gameplan after seeing how tight the Fighters played the previous two games. Richard Stevenson said before the game that he would have a big day and they planned on wearing down the defense with the run. Something the Fighters have been struggling with this season. While other teams have their running game working fairly well the Fighters are yet to prove the have a great backfield. Brown and Stump are ready for some big breakout games, but when will that happen. The guards have not been making big enough holes for them to run through and without a lane to run in it doesn't look like any big runs for their back field.

Luck doesn't seem to be on the Fighters side either. Wide receivers making spectacular catches against the back field even after passes being deflected. Fumbles are also bouncing the wrong way for the Fighters. That defensive gang needs to react quicker to cover up that egg.

Tomorrow morning will be interesting to see the new roster for Saipan. Six guys playing hookie from team meetings and six guys on the trading block. Ex-defensive coordinator and his DE are one of the ones on the tradng block and it looks like the Fighters will be light on the O-Line and the D-Line. Let's see what the night brings and what contracts are being signed.

Young quarterback Lefty Boomer has signed a deal for 44,000/year as the new backup behind Dylan Salisbury. He won't see much time at the helm unless there is a big lead, but he has a great leader to learn from. Truck McGee one of Saipan's biggest top player threats has decided to leave the team for a better opportunity. That will be a big hit to the O-Line.

Rumor has it that the team may be going under. What do we think? We think it is going to be a new day tomorrow and the Saipan Fighters have made some great moves to better the team and have something to prove to the league. We think the next sharks to enter the battle arena, the Great Barrier Reef Sharks, will not be as likely to take a bite out of the Fighters. But that is yet to be seen.
