Take that however you will.

or that 'really' good team just has a poor defense....

Look at Mekong's defensive starters and judge for yourself.

Hell look at their backups. Their backup defense is better than the average SEA AA 4 D.

Either they have the shittiest builds ever, flounder can't gameplan worth a damn, OR chemistry is a factor.

Only a few minutes until we see the results of week 2, I can't wait.

Wow, did Phenom Penh Warriors boost before the game?
I don't remember your blocking or run d rating being so high?

In any event, it was a good game. You guys gave us a scare, and showed us some areas ion which we need big improvement.

Good Game Steelers. That was too close for comfort. I was afraid my kickers missed PAT would come back to haunt us and it nearly did.

Best of luck the rest of the season.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but look at the team you played.

Nice self introduction to the league forums, "lmaoing" at a 47-0 win when in actuality your team should have won by more. Hell your offense out levels them ridiculously and you yourself out level most of the defense by at least 10 levels, now that's "lmao".

Damn! Congrats to the Idols for the second year in a row.

We played you closer this year and feel that we have closed the gap.

Yeah, 47-0 isn't anything to get excited about, all things considered. You should have won both of your games by that score if not more. You have an easy schedule to start off, which helps considering your chemistry.

Congrats to Mandalay, Stucknut and Phuket for beginning 2-0. The other 2-0 teams were supposed to win, so they get no love.

We hope to take two of those teams off of the undefeated list in the next two weeks. Good luck to you both and I don't mean that in a bad way.

This play must have absolutely ripped the hearts out of the Phenom Penh Warriors.
You guys had the game won, save for some last second heroics by the OneTwo punch of the Mighty Triceratops Wearing a Saddle.

Lost City v. Winona
Lost City Came out of the corner swinging with a huge pass on the opening drive from Green Arrow to Mario Owens for a quick 6.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=108298&pbp_id=1281101

They added another score with a huge play over the middle to TE Marshawn Rolle, who rumbled 91 yards to paydirt.

And they finished up their first half scoring with a run up the gut by Speedy Cruiser.

Winona started the second half with a good return to get solid field position, and then a Dix Enormous got all up in them guts for 6.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=108298&pbp_id=1284007

They added another 3 with a FG in the middle of the 3rd, and capped their scoring off with a 5 yard rush by Wazzu Warrior.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=108298&pbp_id=1284782

The second half scoring proved to be too little too late, and Lost City added a FG late and takes the win 24 to 17.

There should be a good rematch in the playoffs, and Winona will look for revenge.

Forbidden City v. Oklahoma

Two of the top defensive teams in Alpha clashed in a game that did not disappoint.
The replay was fairly boring, but there were turnovers galore in this game.
While Oklahoma won the turnover battle, they were not able to overcome the Firestorm D.

Final score, 13 - 6 in favor of Forbidden City.
Another case of two of the top teams that will more than liekly rematch in the playoffs.

You missed the part where we were at their 20 yard line with 2 minutes to go and couldn't quite punch it in
I actually almost started crying.
2 yards from OT.
Oh yeah, we'll be ready in the playoffs. And they won't be getting 2 fucking LONG TD's in the first quarter. Such bullshit. Especially since it didn't happen again in the game. BUT, it's done and done.
I can just tell you THAT won't happen again.
So they'd better be ready in the playoffs.

Although I will say, it's always fun watching a game that makes your heart pound. And more power to GLB for being able to do that with little circles

For sure. I stopped scrolling down once the scoring stopped, went back and looked at that last drive...man that is a rough finish to a great game.

No kidding... an even rougher start though. I'm kind of mad b/c our D is our strength and we gave up 1 or 2 TD's like that all season last year. And if they can do that to us, why didn't it happen MORE in the game....

GGRRRRR......
just KNOW we could've won. Atleast we know it now. Come playoff time we won't be so nice, spotting them 14 points
