Great job Cali... someone ruined that damn bird (your avatar) for me, can't remember who it was, but thought he was a pompous ass. Different league anyway.. hopefully I'll be able to see one of your posts without first getting angry.

Thanks for taking the time on these write ups.

It's exciting to finally get the season started back up.. that off-season seemed like forever to me. Most teams seem to have put together pretty decent games for opening day, and there weren't too many surprises. Good game Hamburg, I'm sure once you guys pull through that tough opening schedule you'll get things set straight!

Thanks, as usual, Cali.. and congrats on the week 1 win.

Brighton Bears 34 Copenhagen Razorbacks 7
With Brighton opening their season at home, many were asking, "Where's Flex EZ?" The prolific signal caller that led the Bears last season into the playoffs spent this game looking on from the sideline. His replacement? Stanley Marsh was just 14 for 20 for 160 yards and 2 TDs. Brighton used several running backs in this game, with Slippery Brixx eclipsing the 100 yard rushing mark. No surprise that the new quarterback looked often to Phil Elliot. Elliot reeled in 6 catches for 100 yards and 2 TDs. This Marsh to Elliot 49 yard hook up came in the opening drive of the third quarter and pushed the early Bear lead to 24-0.

*cough* Well Flex-_-EZ was unwell for the first game of the season and his "illness" may continue unfortunately.. but Stanley Marsh has offered to stand in for the star. Bears look forward to another award winning season.

Great writeup as always Cali keep them coming

I didn't really know what was up.. Then I just looked and saw the agent was banned. Bummer, but looks like you landed a solid QB to take over.

Great writeups like always, Cali.

Wildcats, good game. You guys had a great TD play in the 3rd that had me biting my nails about you coming back and snatching it from us. Thanks for the challenging kick-off to a new season.

Good Game Kings. I gues a King trumps a Knight....

Hope to see you again later in the year!

Man, my QB accuracy was down about 10% in game 1.

Good game Berlin, you guys were up and down the field on us all day. We were lucky to keep you out of the endzone. Game was alot closer than the final score showed.

Good stuff Cali, you are the man...

Ironton Tanks 45 Hamburg Parrots 7
Perhaps no returning squad finished stronger last season than the Tanks. With a stalwart defense that doesn't seem to have lost much of their swagger from last season, allowing only one score on a busted coverage in the first quarter, the Tanks seemed intent on proving that they are just as talented on the other side of the ball. Drew Bledsoe performed well in his first real game as the Ironton starter. He completed 68% of his passes for 206 yards and found Duane Lemieux on this 35 yard touchdown play with seconds remaining in the first half.

Good game Tanks!! Well, good for you. Not so good for the Parrots. You took us behind the woodshed. We could not convert 3rd downs and we could not stop your running game.

Yeah your QB was what I was worried about, last season he threw for a bunch, if I remember correctly.

Look at my team's #1RB finally get some love! Haha, just joking around. We're expecting to have another good season in Rotterdam and this was a good start for us.

wow there is finally something usful to read, thanks for putting this together thats awesome. But let me tell you guys it sucks playing the champs (likely for now )the first week... it was an embarrising score but our roster wasn't yet complete...

I wouldn't go calling them the "champs" just yet. They made it the farthest in the playoffs (like Ironton in Zeta), but they won't get anything handed to them this season (like Ironton).

Nice game for your back, sheashu. Chelsea has the #1 and #2 rushing leaders in the league after that game. I'm anxious to see how our big uglies on offense do against Camelot tomorrow (today now I guess).
