However since Feritas put the money up to own a team he can technically run it how he see's fit. Good for the guys who signed contracts with his team? No, but thats why you research your owner and his team.. Ask to be allowed to view the team forum before you sign, stuff like that. Otherwise you end up in a bad situation.

"Technically" everyone else on the team also put up money. Since he is the one being the jerk HE should be the one that suffers, not the other players.

I realize the admins are busy but this is a case of abuse so obvious that they should disband this team and delete all Feritas' players on it. The FP lost can be a "fine" for bad bahaviour.

Doing so would set a good example for GLB - do ridiculously abusive things and lose your money. Will is stop all the abuse? Unlikely, but it cannot hurt.

he could have achieved the same thing by keeping CPU's on the roster...the fact that he is screwing other users (some of who are probably paying users) for no reason is shitty...no reason for it.

No reason to ban, but they probably should take the team away. They won't, mind you, since he hasn't broken any rules. There should be a rule for something like this, though.

The two posts above me accurately describe things, I believe.
I hope GLB sets some guidelines in place to keep this from happening in the future. Can't ban until guidelines are in place, though.

I question what his strategy is really. I mean, he's active, so he must have wanted to do something here. There must be some plan. He let a bunch of guys walk to free agency. I mean, is he trying to horde money for some purpose? I'd accuse him of collusion but who has he colluded with? I guess that's what confuses me about all of this, I don't actually understand what he's doing. Getting his guys PT? There is a cap as to how much XP you can get.

That said, I can't imagine ever signing with a team whose name is all caps and called PUMPED UP PISTONS. That right there is kind of a red flag that the owner might not be the most mature guy.

bort has already shown he will bend the rules if people complain. Im sure if the OP and some people bitch enough the guy will lose the team

All those players havent necessarily put up money. If they dont boost or buy equipment they could have put in nothing.

what if the point is to get tossed around for the first two seasons but use all the money to build an awesome stadium. then in year 3 he sells out a ton, gets everyone he can from free agency, and starts raiding the league.

It won't work because money doesn't buy enough to really attract high quality guys to a bad team. But you know, I guess it's a valid strategy to try. Fucked up to not tell the people he's signing but I don't think we can tell someone who paid for FP to get a team he can't try it his way.

Looks like it might just be a farm type team for the owner to play his guys to get max XP every game so that he can then transfer them to other teams when they've leveled up more decently, and by adding other players to the roster it makes it look less suspicious as a farm team. It's either that or he's trying some weird new approach to running a team, but I'm gonna stick with the farm team scenario, imho.

Yeah I joined as a punter to the team Last night before checking the depth chart and seeing the 5 other punters. That said I had been a FA for a decent amount of time and having at the very least money for training etc is better than nothing for him.

I just hope your morale doesn't get to a level where it's nearly impossible to bring it up. There's a good chance your team's going 1-15 (or worse) this season...

Sadly I have to believe that it would be worse to sit without a team for a season or two. Even more so if we do get converted to CPU and dropped to the next owner down the line.

D-Leagues are your friend.

I know, it stinks sharing time between punters (or any other position, for that matter) that are worse than you (or are even CPU players). However, it beats sitting on a team that has little feasible chance to win. At least you earn *some* game XP the other way without losing loads of confidence.

As a general rule, always be wary of an owner you don't know offering Level 1 players contracts...
