If you think the current build isn't seriously screwed up, then you're dreaming. And you can't day it's because we are on the losing end of a blowout. Tha has nothing to do with it. The Hounds beat a team 70-0, and I KNOW for a fact Columbus isn't 70 points worse than us. It's the sim. Another example is Draggin getting blanked 55-0 the other day. Doomsday Sin, undefeated in like forever and the best team MANY have seen in GLB, are having trouble also. A lot of top teams are having trouble with the sim going crazy things. It's been all or nothing in a lot of scrimmage games. The one 12-9 game is few and far between so far this scrimmage season. It's either blowout or get blown out.

Just think about a play in which the RB fumbles, and a OG picks it up...then proceeds to break 11 tackles on his way to the 1 yard line more than 40 yards down field. Does that not scream odd to you? wsdp isn't complaing about getting blown out. He was just saying I wouldn't take it to mean a lot since it's been totally random which great tackling team will miss 30 plus and get blown out. Then come back the very next game and miss none with the same settings and similar opponent and playing calling.

Completely missing the point man... lol... and yes, issue's been brought up to bort by me and many others - go to bugs thread dude

i guess what im trying to say is, that we ran much more this time. you run more, you break more tackles. plus the RB who broke the tackles is stronger now than he was, as is our other back.

apologize for the unsportsmanlike comment regarding todays score.

Tuscaloosa Crimson Tide vs. Woolloomooloo Wombats 0-48 Alpha Conference
Hobart Islanders vs. Fiji Eruption 21-53 Alpha Conference
Honiara Pit Bulls vs. Fairfax Gunz 42-7

I see zero close games in that one. We can do this all night, but the point remains the same. It's a lot more blowouts going on than close games...and it's not making any sense why because these all star defenders are either missing a billion tackles in one game and getting tore apart, or they are king of the mountain.

We are no strangers to close games, shut outs, or blow outs.

Once again, this is not anything we can control. It could just as easily been us on the other side of the blowout, the way your putting it. Either way, Take it up with Bort and his cronies(which it has been). We are just humble team owners here bro, and we just play the games.

Our point is you could have just said GG or we'll get ya next time, as we did, and as we have since the inception of this league. Take the drama to those who can do something about it.

All the years I have played football(or any other sport for that matter). My coaches have always told me no matter if you win or lose, the game is over and you can't change it. So line your ass up on the 50, shake hands and say good game. That is what we try to portray here in the forums. Were not tryin to gloat, just appreciating the competition. Sorry if it was taken wrong

It wasn't taken wrong. But if you go through MY posts, no where does it suggest I'm upset about the outcome. As a matter of fact, I even said that it's a Bort issue and that it's totally random. Said that up front BEFORE you even mentioned me to "take it up with Bort". Not only that, but went on to talk about how you changed things and this that and the other when you changing things had 0 to do with the outcome. FWIW, I had the defense set to stop the run game....HEAVILY. Same as I did last year when I thought you would pass. I had it set to stop the pass HEAVILY. But I didn't get into ANY of that because I already knew why the score was so lopsided.

If I would have mentioned all of this before hand, I could see how you could take that to mean I was making excuses and being a poor sport about it. But, I didn't do any of that. I took the loss like a man and didn't say ANYTHING about it, until AFTER your comments about changing things up. As if it made a difference when it was clear what was going on and has been mentioned in just about every league this year.

You just had a poor choice of words about the outcome. You basically said that the #1 factor for the blowout was all you and your terrific playcalling. Which is really not the best way to win when it's apparent that the sims are broken. Saying GG in a situaiton like that is even more a slap in the face, because we both know it wasn't a GG. The appropriate thing would have been to acknowledge what really happened...you know, if you really are perfect winners...not "It's all me man, all me" Which is how you came across.

But whatever...

gg?

I find this a strange arguement. How do you know it wasn't good play calling by him? The defensive AI and the offensive AI are new things this season, that if you mix it up correctly can mean lesser teams can actually take down the better teams.

The guys who got blown out may have severe things wrong on their defence. For instance, we probably have on paper one of the best, if not the best defensive end with huge strength, agility, speed and tackling. He wasn't set to wrap up, he was set to combination tackling. He missed 4 tackles against not the greatest running back around.

But that's aside from my point. Why have a playcalling system that is meant to give you more control when even if a guy beats you, it's classed as not being a factor.

We don't know how much of this is playcalling or bugs yet, no one knows this apart from the people that are working on the game.

Everyone is in the same boat... but if the Huskies continue this against every team and the bug is random, then surely you will have to tip your hat and say well done.

So until that time comes, I suggest complaining about bugs etc, especially in a scrimmage game, is best left out of these forums.

That's funny I thought the Game planning and the countless hours we have spent going through our offensive and defensive ai, figuring out a play for almost every situation had to have something to do with how our team plays. I guess I was wrong.

You and everyone else that has ever played us. We led the league in rushing last year. makes sense wouldn't it

You must be a freaking genius then cause we didn't pass at all last year, and the games we did more than normal we lost. WOW good call.

Your still making excuses, the real season starts tomorrow play your game and leave it alone.

We had a poor choice of words about the outcome? (I didn't realize GG would be taken so harshly)

We never said our terrific play calling was the reason for the blowout(Although if you wanna be honest dude we have beaten better teams than yours, and we out level you in a number of positions.

Honestly getting slapped in the face is losing 40-7 at your homecoming game by a team that will only win 1 game that season.
Not saying GG and being a good sport about it.

Whether it was the sim or not there's NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT. We are both playing with the same sim. All we can do is hope he gets it fixed before, tomorrow.

First, I have to agree with magicalmrrich that we can't really say just yet whether its bugs or just a well written AI gameplan. One poorly written script can cancel out a dozen others if you're not careful and , correct me if I'm wrong but, Styxx and NP are real life friends that live close to each other. So they can actually sit down and go over each others work to make sure that all the bases are covered and scripts don't cancel each other out. I believe we have over 200 scripts written for Defense and probably just as many for Offense.

Second, I don't understand why it would be a shock to anyone that we would pitch a shutout. We only allowed an average of less than 6 points per game all last season.

k... here we go...

1) We led Zeta in rushing last season
2) We were 2/3 in rush and pass defense all last season
3) We were 3rd or something in points allowed in zeta last season
4) We came within a fumble on a would be game winning FG drive of beating undefeated NOLA in our 2nd round playoff game
5) We missed 35 tackles in the game - fight and bitch and moan all you want, when you add up strength/tackling attributes of the main guys missing the tackles, well... son... the math doesn't add up right.

... Hence all the chaos in the bug threads.

I could lie and say "we didn't write any advanced offensive ai/defensive ai scripts" and make you out to look like you're GLB geniuses (which you've said multiple times above in not so many words) but I'll save your ego that stroke because, believe it or not, we've wrote a couple ourselves.
