So glad live action is finally here. Really looking forward to these scrimmages so we can judge how much work we have cut out for us. Hopefully it won't be as bad as I am thinking it might be.

Personally we want to see just how close the sim follows our inputs.Until we play these two games I want have any faith in the AI settings.

can't judge too much, I know we're playing around with the AI and depth chart a lot...

Yeah, I'm not going too crazy with it yet. I'm using it more to address flaws I've seen in the past and a select few things I'd like to try.

I don't have the time or the energy to create an entire offense or defense with these things.

Same here. We do have several playbooks or packages but we are starting with the vanilla, fix all the things that pisses us off, playbook. Hopefully we can see the exact plays that followed the AI settings. I guess we will know later today.

Same here. We could go nuts with the new settings but we figured the best thing to do is start off simple until we see how the sim will handle everything.

The offensive selections suck. The defense is far more fun.

Agreed! Actually I don't know about the Defense but There's no way to script an opening drive which is really annoying.

There is a way to sort of script what you'd like the sim to do on offense but it's nowhere near as detailed as defense. Basically you can tell it you want a certain % of inside/out runs and short/med/long passes within certain down and distances, but there is no control over formations and specific play calling.

IMO you risk playing with fire if you try to get too fancy this early on because nobody knows how our teams are going to react to the sim changes, or how the sim will handle our tactics. Personally we're going to start slow with some base stuff and build from it. I like what we have right now so I can't wait to see what kind of results we get tonight.

We need access to the split-T formation, shotguns, Big I, 5 wide, etc etc

I've got 80% of the offense and about 60% of the Defense installed.

But if the results of this morning hold true, I'm going to be pissed...
