@$$#0!&$ left me with $200,000, A LOAN TO REPAY after having given new contracts to all his cronies, and only one non-CPU player (that apparently had been promised to another owner who didn't pull the trigger on the trade before the team was sold---that owner wanted me to honor the terms of the prior deal).

Admins came in and reset the money somewhat, but only gave me $500k since that's all the Legends started off with initially even though all other new teams are getting $1M. However, after all was said and done, I still ended up with only about $300,000 because I had to make a payment on the loan as soon as I got the team to avoid a penalty--didn't know what the admins were going to do or not do. I wouldn't call that "not messing with the money."

Don't get me wrong.....I knew I'd probably get a gutted team whenever my number came up on the waiting list. I knew I'd have to go through a few rough seasons initially. Don't like it, but it's just the way it is and I can deal and will do the best I can to build an eventual winner. Enjoy the next couple seasons against us because we'll get the job done in time. What I object to is the idea of the former regime coming in here and claiming to be virtuous and upstanding when they're full of shit.

Glad to have a team. Lots of work to be done. As I said, we won't be competitive this year since we're having to dig ourselves out of a hole, but bear with us and we'll strive to be worthy of the league as quickly as we can.

Thanks chief, but I just needed to vent a bit. I knew what the deal was when I signed up for a team---I just didn't want someone misrepresenting the facts to the group. It is what it is and I'm just going to try to do what I can to build a decent team. Unfortunately, it's going to have to be a multiyear plan, so this season we may not be very worthy opponents. I'll try very hard to be more competitive next year.

First of all I didn't give new contracts to anyone, I released them and many of them found new teams. I only took 2 players to my team. Support told me I had to sell the team, so I guess playing by the rules is classless so be it. I asked my players if they wanted to stay or be released they all said they wanted to be released. So I let them out of there contracts. I didn't gut the team and move them to a lower division or anything so don't think that. Anyways good luck to everyone.

If he had to merge accounts, that means he had more than one, which has ALWAYS been against the rules!

Yeah well playing against the rules would be keeping both accounts smart one. By merging them thats playing by the rules. Say what you want but you sound like a idiot. Tons of people know me on this game and tons of people will vouch for me. No matter what someone was going to get screwed all of the players contracts were up day 1 so no one would have signed with you anyways. I released them where they could join a team this offseason, instead of Day 2. So quit your ramblings and sell the team if you want and join one of the new capped leagues.

Since you weren't swift enough to notice, I'll spell it out more explicitly for you: the point was that having multiple accounts in the first place was against the rules. That's what "has ALWAYS been against the rules" means (I guess they don't teach reading comprehension in Texas). Merging them was GLB's amnesty program for those who came clean. If you notice, tpaterniti's FIRST post in that thread (http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=319707) states definitively that possessing multiple accounts is NOT legal and that even if you didn't realize it was illegal you could get banned. It doesn't mean that it suddenly BECAME illegal. KEEPING both accounts would just be CONTINUING to break the rules! Got it yet? By virtue of the fact that you had multiple accounts in the first place, you were in violation of the rules. Period.

I will give you credit, though, for trying to correct your transgression---once GLB pointed out it was going to be taken seriously. I admit that there were many people who were violating this rule unknowingly, and MAYBE you were one of them.

I'm not interested in your popularity---it could just as easily be argued that you bought your testimonials with excessive signing bonuses, but I certainly am not in a position to accuse you of that. Just saying those testimonials don't necessarily impress me in the face of the factual status of the team you left me with. And again, I am not so upset about the lack of players---I believe you when you say most wanted to leave. Unfortunately it has become the rule rather than the exception in GLB when teams get sold. What bothered me was how you raided the treasury.

And I gotta say: Why are you even in this Forum anyway? You're not even part of this league anymore! (And don't give me any of that "I have a right to post"---no one is saying you don't have a RIGHT to post---it's just you have no reason to be injecting yourself into this venue.) I actually was coming on to post that I was starting to get over my frustration concerning the situation but each time I do, you pipe in with your unnecessary and unwelcome commentary. You're not part of this league anymore so just go away and take your irritating presence with you!

Anyway, at this point, I think I've said all I have to say on this issue. Nothing you say is going to change my perception of the circumstances because you have no credibility with me, but who really cares? You got away with making my job a little harder on a computer game....ok. Fine. Congratulations, now just move along. Nothing you do is ever really going to affect my life and nothing I do is going to affect yours. I've made my position pretty clear at this point and all I'll (we'll) do is waste time flaming each other and either entertain or antagonize the rest of the league. I've got better things to do and so do you. I'm now done with this thread.

Ok first I had multiple account because 1 was my brothers but he got shipped out to Iraq, and I took it over. But just worry about yourself and your team.
