Looks like there was a little embezzlement of funds (over a 600K in bonuses handed out before the sale) and all the current players are free agents in two days... but we're gonna do our best to field a competitive team.
Playoffs might be tough this year, but don't sleep on us too hard!
My team, our money. We earned it so I can distribute it how ever the hell I fell. It's not against the rules to give people end of season contracts with more money or bonuses. I told my team weeks in advance that I was going to sell and they all said if that's the case they will leave too, so like a good owner I gave the all end of the season contracts. Don't except mid 20 level guys to stick around after playing for me for two season. Most of these guys will tell you we where a good team and played by the rules. Don't get mad because of the hand you where dealt. What, I'm I supposed to leave millions in the bank for you, when you did nothing to earn it?
And what did you do to "earn" your team and money? Spend $10 on a virtual game to "own" a team?
Dude, he built a class team out of nothing, from the ground up, and in the beginning of season 2 when the state of recruiting was even worse then it is now, before the D Leagues came into existence, before the FA forum was restructured, and before the addition of the marketplace. He built up the stadium, earned playoff games, earned the cash. Let's not forget the countless hours of recruiting it took to build such a nice squad, convincing guys to take back-up roles, oh and all the scouting and usually successful gameplanning game to game, that takes hours of work man, hours put in by him and his agents. He did much more than simply spend a little bit of cash on a videogame. To run a successful and competitive squad takes a TON of work, and even more work to be a competiting team in this league for the last two seasons--competition was much stiffer in seasons 2 and 3 then it is now, trust me.
I'll let this go because I can see you're not a team owner.
As I read each word, I started believing more and more that he either has absolutely no life, or spends WAY too much time on this GAME. A lot of people seem to lose sight of the fact that this IS in fact a videogame. It's not really about spending money on this game, seeing as it is kind of cheap, although I haven't spent a penny on this game, but the hours that you put in to "own" a team, and create a billion and one characters is pathetic.
