Well the 3 million dollars will help us

Money is kind of important for building stadiums and play off contracts! (SHOCKER)

Well lets see even to pay 40 players (minimum roster) 200k for there equipment bonuses would cost 8 million dollars. This doesn't include daily salaries or anything (probably 4+ million next year) that is 12 million dollars RIGHT there. You guys better save some money!

I looked at your home page and the Zombies have 1.3 million dollars. Ticket sales must have been dead. Sounds to me like you better have a bake sale.

Keep thinking that. There is a reason your stadium is junk.

This again. Let me ask you guys... what good is hording money? People were surmising that our fan support sucked before -- yeah, that makes a lot of sense, a 19-1 team with piss poor fan support -- all because we have little cash on hand. Maybe we (gasp) are spending it? Early start on 24 equip bonuses, stadium... hookers, coke and booze. These things cost money my friend!

So was the last team we beat.

At this stage I don't think anyone is certain of the outcomes. All of these teams are so even. That being said I can't go against my own team here.

Zambia - 29
South Africa - 20

That's my prediction.

I guess we've done something right if you hate us that much. We don't really think about you. Good luck next season, you guys are up and coming.

You honestly think we are going to drop in cash by 200k overnight? Maybe you should check our stadium next season, lets just say we were building for the FUTURE this season. This game (for teams) is NOT a sprint it is a brisk walk or jog.

ASK Charlie Don't Surf I am pretty sure they might have done the same thing as us. Because if they did, they are smart.

As for the Ridgebacks, this game is going to be a good one, I can't wait to see who wins it all!

On paper, just looking at level matchups, one would say that the Zombies would crush the Ridgebacks. Of course, the same could be said of most of the Ridgebacks' previous opponents, which tells me that their players have great builds and they have great coaching. South Africa has hardly had a competitive game since the fourth week, blowing out most of their opponents handily.

Aside from two very close games against Charlie Don't Surf, Zambia can say pretty much the same thing: They've dominated their opponents. They also seem to have talented players and competent coaching.

One key player is Ridgeback HB Frank Steele. This guy's a monster, and nobody's really slowed him down all season, with him averaging well over 100 yards per game. His backup frequently gets 100 yards on his own. Will these guys be able to run against the Zombies, who average less than 20 yards rushing against them per game? The Zambia Lions also had a vaunted rushing defense, but they gave up well over 200 yards to the Ridgebacks.

I'm going to go with the Zombies here. Only two teams have rushed for more than 30 yards against them all season. The Ridgebacks will be the third, but I don't think they'll get 100. And without a rushing attack, South Africa will be forced into the air, and their success will be limited.

Zombies by 10 in a low-scoring game.

First, this is the equivalent of a Super Bowl...why should either team get homefield advantage? In my opinion, the game should be held at a neutral site and the two teams should split ticket sales & concessions. I know that's not the case, and I'm not lobbying to change it...just sharing my two cents.

Second, wow this should be a good game.

When you look at the Zambia Zombies record against the eight Elephant Conference playoff teams (we'll exclude the lower half of the division for comparative purposes) they have a 9-1 record. They beat the Gambia Piranhas twice (34-6 and 45-10), the Tripoli Leathernecks (22-13), the West Virginia MountainMen (20-13), the Zimbabwe Mighty Zulu Nation twice (33-6 and 43-7), TORO's TEXANS (57-3), split a pair of games with Charlie Don't Surf (29-30 and 22-16), and the Sahara Sandstorm (22-9). Over those 10 games, the Lions scored 327 points and gave up only 113...a substantial 214 point difference.

Likewise, when you compare at the South African Ridgebacks record against the eight Lion Conference playoff teams (again excluding the lower half of the division) they too have a 9-1 record. They beat the Oum-Chalouba Zebras twice (37-13 and 46-7), they lost to the Zimbabwe Headhunters (6-7), the Mombassa Spears (6-0), the Valla Beach Woolsheds (38-0), the Windhoek White Rhinos twice (15-12 and 22-3), the Zambia Lions twice (49-7 and 29-6), and the Buckeye Nation (27-9). While the Ridgebacks didn't score quite as much in their 10 games (275) they allowed significantly fewer points as well (64) The 211 point differential is nearly identical to that of the Zombies.

In both cases each team's only loss came by one point...the Ridgebacks to start the season and the Lions to close it out. As was alluded to earlier, the Ridgebacks are consistenly out-leveled by their opponents, yet they find a way to win games. There have been several tough battles by both teams to get to this point. Which team still has enough gas in the tank will their team to victory?

I believe it's going to be a defensive battle and may come down to whose special teams unit puts their team in better field position.

Final Score Prediction: South African Ridgebacks 16, Zambia Zombies 15
