Its not an excuse. Its a fact. Three big pass plays, all over a CB who, to be frank, is not good enough at this time. Stating facts is not making excuses (strange how some people like confusing the two.)

Frankfurt would still have won the game even without those plays though. Their offence seemed to get just enough yards each time, and their defence stifled our offence. They were brutally efficient rather than spectacular. Hell, even our field goals were long ones. Our one deep penetration was stopped by a great play by their FS (leading to the BS first long TD...there's no way a play like THAT should happen).

They weren't in the least bit lucky to win. Lucky to win by that much? yes. They're a damn good team and well worth the win. I hope they annihilate whoever it is they play today.

Cork City certainly seem to have a lot of excuses for losing ten games. Yes, a lot of "Excuses".

Its a fact that if we hadn't had that CB we wouldn't have let those TD happen.
And without those TD, Gossard threw only average.
And you did get lucky, if not, why did you not win more?

Come on guys, lets not rain on Frankfurt's riot here. They're on their way up and everyone else in Alpha isn't getting promoted so lets bicker elsewhere and save this space for condemning Frankfurt for being too bloody good this season.

So you agree it wasn't just the CBs fault? That's the point... blaming a loss on 1 player is an excuse. They thoroughly won. One player may have made an impact, but he doesn't play on both sides of the ball. As for Cork City, I have no delusion that we aren't the best, but we're far better than we were last year. Much closer games that could have gone either way, just ended up going the wrong way most of the time. Luck or unluck, it's just a fact. But we don't make excuses for it. We lose. We give the winners props. Unlike Asmodan and his minions. Who if they lose it's all "luck". Not the fact that I spent hours looking through games and seeing what did and didn't work vs them and adjusted accordingly.
Again I will state the fact that I do not think Cork is a top team in this league, we know our place. We just don't appreciate the fact that when we win it's blamed on luck rather that the work we put into it. That is extremely disrespectful. It would be similar to me saying Asmodan's power rankings appear because of luck.

Actually if you read the posts we always said that we think Frankfurt thoroughly deserved to win. We were just disappointed in the score line. Plus it's clear that Alidor needs to be reminded his players are not the greatest ever to take the football field. The team as a whole have been fantastic, and we give all credit to them.

As for Cork, you beat us, congrats. Hope it helps keep you warm down there at the cold dark bottom of the league. You game planned, we didn't, we didn't think you were good enough to take seriously, you proved us wrong. But just wait for the smackdown we are going to give you next season after all this talk.

See I don't mind this. You didn't make an excuse for losing. You admited to making a mistake. If only some of your teammates were the same way we wouldn't have the situation we do now.
