You know, it's pretty funny that we haven't been getting much attention from the teams in our league either, yet here we are playing for the championship on a 14-2 run, having been promoted to AA. We beat teams that outlevel us consistently. Keep thinking what you want. We'll just keep winning.

Well dunno about your entire conference, but looking at your playoffs game, your opponents have even weaker teams. But you do have the offseason to get better players on.

Especially because I believe that the teams coming up keep their conference affiliation. So the teams that were alpha should stay alpha.

I believe the same is true of teams coming down, but I don't know what the rules are (if any) for determining who will go to AA3 or AA4.

Anyone aware of the details on promotion/relegation?

So to update and combine my list:

Promoted:
South Yorkshire Stars From A#7 Alpha Champs
Athens Gators From A#7 Zeta Champs
Nola Big Easies From A#8 Zeta Champs
Southriding Stingrays From A#8 Alpha Champs

Relegated: (2 will go to AA#3 and 2 to AA#4)
Aschaffenburg Stallions From AAA#2 Alpha Rank 15
Scotland Loch Monsters From AAA#2 Alpha Rank 16
Edinburg Bullets From AAA#2 Zeta Rank 15
United Phoenix From AAA#2 Zeta Rank 16

Do they? I expected that the promotees from the odd numbered league would go into the "first" conference, and those form the even numbered league would go into the "second conference.

I figured those being relegated would go form the "First" conference into the odd numbered league and those from the "second" conference would go into the even numbered league. Now, which team goes into which conference, that may simply be a case of cheap and easy. Low guy goes into "first" conference, maybe?

Then again, I haven't watched the previous season rollovers to find out. I'm just guessing. But I'm thinking about traversing the binary tree in a directly relational method, like a software guy should, so I think that gives me an advantage about seeing it the way Bort might.

After your comments I did a little research to try and track down the teams I was aware of being promoted/relegated.

Promoted from AA#4 Alpha, Ringriders now in AAA#2 Alpha
Promoted From AA#4 Zeta, Bluebirds now in AAA#2 Zeta

Relegated from AAA#2 Alpha unknown rank, Dublin Destroyers now in AA#3 Alpha
Relegated from AAA#2 Alpha unknown rank, Swedens Army now in AA#4 Alpha
Relegated from AAA#2 Zeta unknown rank, Leeds Cougars now in AA#4 Zeta
After being relegated, the Amsterdam Lions appear to have been disbanded/transfered to another league, was unable to track what happened to them.

So, based on the above, I still hold that I expect teams to retain their conference affiliation even after they change leagues. My big question is determining between #15 and #16. Which falls left and which falls right? Anyone have any thoughts on that?

ooooh, quoting himself with a double post. There is a half point deduction for that one. Checking the scores, oh the Russian judge didn't like it, only a 4.25 from her. Otherwise....averages to a 4.75. Not a very good score and he's going to have to do much better in the long program to regain some ground. After the break we'll be back with the long jump, so stay tuned.
