Sorry...business before pleasure. As much as we'd like to participate, there simply are things we need to test before next season.

I don't think those tests are going to tell you much with the way Aggie is gonna re-arange their depth chart.

Well it'll ruin strategic tests...but it won't ruin a few other things we will be testing.

Really too bad though...would have liked to tried other things. I can't get upset at them for wanting to be silly...but likewise, I don't think they can say anything about us wanting to improve our team even if it's not a real game.

Scrimmages are a lot like preseason games. Nobody takes them seriously and it's really hard to gather any info from them.

If teams didn't find anything of value by doing them, they wouldn't exist in the NFL (although now they would have a hard time stopping what has already been created for commercial reasons)...even if you're not playing 100%. We'll make the best of our situation and try and learn what we can. We had a similar situation last season with teams not taking it seriously but we were still able to make use of a few things that we learned.

We learned some things from last years scrimmages, but I think it also acted as a window on what might be successful next season...both for us, and the teams we played against. We did some tinkering towards the middle of this season and I think we know what we need to now. To try to tweak anything in the scrimmages would just be 2 more games for everybody else to use gameplanning against us next year.

I understand...but how do you know what I'm testing? I'm not game planning so you won't learn anything that way.

Doesn't matter now... the whole thing is FUBAR (we're not even set up according to the proposed rules). :-(

So says you...

we use it to fine tune every thing from stamina settings to blitz %.

Thats fine if your guys wanna throw games away, but we take every single game serious. We are doing everything we can to win.

And it gives you GREAT numbers when they've got a kicker in at QB or whatever the hell. Really, you can't learn anything from scrimmages. People are always tweaking different things, so the results are so messed up anything you gather is void from use in actual games, generally. Not always, but generally.

never mind.... What ever you say.

Not going to spend time explaining.

Not my job to teach anyone else how to gameplan.
