Rap is horrible. It's not a "style of music", it's an abomination. It's some jackass talking into a microphone while some other jackass pushes buttons on a box that makes "music". Rap is just like country music. It caters to exactly what I said, the lowest common denominator.

I prefer listening to stuff that I can call music and be proud to call music. The Beatles. Arcade Fire. Led Zeppelin. The Raconteurs. Jimi Hendrix. Man Man. Pink Floyd. You know, music.

So I've heard. I got to see Death Cab for Cutie when they came through Philly last month, and that was the best concert I've been to. I can only imagine the kind of show Arcade Fire would put on.
