I want to push the votes for 2 of my best defensive players. The Bandits have had a top defense all year and as the DC, the only way I could do what I wanted and set my game plans the way I needed was because of two reasons.
Jay Burney SS and DT Chris Cooper.
I think every team in the division noticed when we signed one of the first high level players on defense at the beginning of the year and it set the tone for the Bandit Defense to be able to end the season as dominantly as we started. That player is no other than Chris Cooper, DT Beltway Bandits. He leads the Lion in hurries, despite being put against the strongest competitors week in and week out. He has split time between the Nose and Tackle positions. The Bandits would have a worse record and our D wouldn't even be mentioned if not for Mr. Cooper. Thank you sir for being a Bandit.
Jay Burney SS Bandits has made his career out of coming up big on third downs. I have been able to move him around and have him in the box or playing deep when I needed him to and he has never disappointed. He missed one tackle in the Impalas game and gave up a 47 yard play, came back on the next drive and picked it off and sealed our win. The bigger the game, the better he played. He is the only player on the Bandits top defense that I can not replace on plays. Thank you Mr. Burney for allowing me to play as aggressive as I want. You are the key to our Defense. From game one, you have had a positive mind set.
Dave Deacon Jones FS Bandits, you are also a key part in our dominating safety rotation that doesn't give up any big plays. Week one, when I told you that you would not see good stats and I needed you to just cover the Corners asses, you obliged without complaint. Happy to sit back and allow the Bandits to attack as needed without any fear and I thank you for it.
Cirque De Soleil DE Bandits, you have put pressure on opposing QBs all season as well. You and Cooper had quite the competition all season. Strong against the run and so good against the pass, you even got a pick dropping into coverage. Thank you as well Cirque.
(I have to at least plug my own guy for a bit as well)
Kaptain Koolguy is the best QB in the league. No contest. The rest of you jerks can't hold my jock.
My stats may not be as high as some of these lesser QBs, but I split time with our OCs QB. An alleged QB controversy started early as our back up put up good numbers on defenses that had been worn down and already embarrassed by the good Kaptain, but I prevailed. Most games I set up our early lead and then only come in to get us third down conversions and touchdowns.
I rule you all stink, vote Koolguy 08'. I'll take it easy on y'all on my way to playoff domination.
Jay Burney SS and DT Chris Cooper.

Let me clear it up.
One for the entire conference.

Obviously tackles are up there based on pancakes
How about never allowing a sack or hurry at LOT?
I wich they kept track of more important stats for all players.

That's a little harder to do then you think. I was trying to at first, but it was difficult, it is especially hard when one person has 100 pancakes and the other has say 40. Kind of hard to have the 40 go ahead of the 100, especially since the 100 player probably let up almost the same amount of hurries as the other guy.
If you have a player your strongly believe should be on their send me a PM. I probably missed some players, I can't see everyone.

I'm not sure I deserve any awards was just saying I hope some day (and I think it's been talked about by Bort) the game keeps track of more relevant stats. Examples such as sacks allowed, hurries allowed, avg yards per rush for plays going a guard's or tackle's direction (we all know a good o-line makes a good HB and there should be a stat to reflect it
), number of catches vs times thrown to for WRs (as a percent), number of after catch tackles vs number of times thrown to vs PDs for CBs...
I see from my limited programming experience that this is going to be very hard to implement as the game is, however I'm hoping there will be an overhaul of the sim and what it can keep track of when the game leaves beta stages.
*And a side note, how does a OT with 40str get 70 pancakes? I want in on that

OK I would just like to say, for FB please consider Tim Riggins of the Starvin Marvins as the best FB because if you look he had the most TDs out of TRUE FBs in the league. The reason why I say TRUE FB is because the Rumblers FB was used as an HB.
A fullback is an occasional runner but mostly a blocker, when a Full Back is able to win leading rusher of the league that is not a FB, he should be inserted into the HB category.

For best KR/PR, D.H. Peligro of the Katanga Diamonds is the obvious choice.

-Punt returns : 19.4 yards average (on 85 returns), league leading 3 TDs.
-KO returns : 31.9 yards average (on 65 returns).
No one ranks higher in BOTH CATEGORIES.

Jonas McNamara (QB). He has been the top performer this season and has developed and thrown consistently all season - esp if you look at his stats last year. We really think he should be in with a shout for QB in the Pro Bowl picks - stats don't lie lol!

Finished the links. I was going to do that last night, but the internet was out at my house until 11 at night, and I didn't feel like finishing it then since I had to wake up at 6
