I'll just say I expect that the #1 v #8 matchup in the West to be SIGNIFICANTLY easier than the #2 v #7. IMHO its a pretty significant difference in the team talent after the top 7 teams in the West.
It would be a shame to see a 6-10 team make the playoffs in the West while an 11-5 team didn't make the playoffs in the East -- and that's exactly what could happen.
