I came back to the game after a very long break. The accelerated player building made a big difference for me, now I'm hooked again. I think getting players like myself to come back would be a great way to spice things up again. I remember the biggest complaint back then was how long it took to player build.

And fwiw, when I put my free agent in the PLFT forum, the only offer I got was from one of the so called scumbags mentioned earlier. I don't think they mind new agents...

Everyone is for a larger pool as the one right now is far too limited. Hard to find enough quality FA's for sure. The last thing we need to do is cut down on available dots.

There is already a shortage of teams and dots, fewer would be the death knell of GLB.

This could be the central message of an email campaign targeting former GLB players who've gone inactive - 'New accelerated player development'. I'm sure a lot of former agents would come back to check things out. And if they're anything like the other recently-returned agents (myself included), I'm sure a lot of them will get hooked again.

I do think a social media ad campaign would really really help.

As a means of generating awareness of the game among people who've never heard of GLB before, this is probably a very good way to do it.

We're basically talking about a 2-pronged strategy:

Prong 1 = Invite former agents to return. (Email campaign?)
Prong 2 = Create awareness among new agents. (Social media campaign?)

As more and more agents either return to the game, or try if for the first time, it will generate excitement in the rookie leagues that will eventually become self-sustaining.

Yes - there are a lot of agents who've been playing this game for years and are very good at it, and difficult to play against. But in my experience coming back, they're also (for the most part) extremely willing to help new players learn the ropes. That goes a long way towards keeping agents interested.

I see everyone's point here. I do think a social media ad campaign would really really help. There's enough info in the forums for a determined new coach to figure it out over time. Would definitely have to reset his dots and teams a few times but didn't we all.

My suggestion: A flex donation box, maybe even if only in the Buy Flex page, where we can donate to this campaign. Maybe even a donation box on the agent homepage, what's one more button among 53 other ones.

I second this. Hit up Twitter, BlueSky, IG, TikTok and lure some people on.

Set the ad to show to only men age 40+ and only PC users...surely will get some interest.

How many active players would yall guestimate on here? I know Bort would have the exact number.

I'm honestly surprised this game isn't more popular. I would say, everything about the website screams 2008 for sure lol, probably wouldn't hurt for an update.

Also I've seen it mentioned a couple of times, but what is a KoB dot?

I believe KoB indicates 'King of Bling', but I'm not sure I understand the significance. King of Bling is one of the longest tenured GLB agents. His team, 'All the King's Men', has been around since Napoleon was a cadet. He's kindly sent out invitations to agents who aren't part of the ATKM team because the team forum is a fantastic source of information on all things GLB, and a great way for new agents to learn the game.

a KOB dot means KOB built that dot on a different account than his so you know who built the dot

Some good ideas in this thread, but does anyone know how to contact the game's administrators to see if something like this would be possible? I don't think they're completely tuned out - they did update the pro league structure just last season, after all. And I've also heard there have been some new plays and/or AIs added, so there's definitely a 'man behind the curtain', so to speak.

Yea, send support a message. DD is pretty good at answering.
