Also his team eats run tags all day because he runs 65% of the time and throws a ton of screens. Very easy to gameplan for and defend if your builds are decent. If you want a balanced team then balance it and throw close to 50% and force teams to respect it or since you know your going to get tagged switch it up and throw 80% of the time and take advantage of the defensive tags.
Read EVERYTHING ellix recommended also...Builds/team design matters. Atomic is probably down 200k points to the top teams in tier because of build issues that are easily corrected. That's an uphill battle every game, advice is freely given most of the time if someone just asks but every time I see Sperry ask a question he argues with the answers.
If your not winning...a lot...Then you don't know what your doing and should probably find someone to help you figure it out.

I will say though that a new conspiracy I’m brewing based on last season’s numbers and the numbers from when I was in control earlier in this one - GLB2 code is doing something to his rushing bc the last few (3-4) games have looked purposely bad. Pls take a look if you think I’m joking, I’ve never seen so much touch blocks & missed assignments in my life.
His team also hit Pro, You can have 100 Power Running and Gold PT very early on and it takes defenses a while to catch up with tackling/SA's to stop HB's. Now that they have caught up the build issues will get exposed if there are any.

Realistically you do not have to be good at everything either. You can run a successful team by collaborating with others who know better than you do in certain areas. I did not know how to build many of my players. My Return WR I learned from Kvo & DrEdgar, my S* TE I yoinked from BoDiddley, my WR1 from Ellix ect.
Getting your builds torn apart is a regular occurrence. It is not something that only happens to a few people that the community dislikes or something. When I showed Ellix my original WR build he told me I was giving him a brain aneurysm
My secret sauce to having decent teams is to think up a concept, plan out what each player build will be, and then changing them based off community feedback. Slowly you will assemble the necessary tools needed and then you can get into the coaching side of things. Even then you will find you make errors. For example, I found out this week that my team CBs are too slow. Something I didn't catch because there aren't many people who know zone better than me, so I didn't ask. A mistake I surely would have avoided if I had gotten feedback.
A good way to learn is to find someone who will teach you stuff, chill on their coaching staff, take note of the builds, and then just try it yourself.

Or, you could be experimenting with a franchise for the first time and not have your entire self-concept based upon a W/L record in an internet game.

I don't know, it's not really a bad thing to not know what you're doing. Just have to be self aware enough to change when presented with evidence.

100% agreed and I am in the same spot you are with the game....we talked about that.
The difference is we are OK with it and if we need help we know who to ask. I only did decent in rook/soph because the meta changed to fit my team build while at the same time screwing over the high powered offense teams. I have swapped out 5-6 players and did full respecs on almost everyone this offseason to *hopefully* fix a bunch of build issues.
