It’s worth noting that Deadman is one of the better run defense teams based on matchups, but our run defense is terrible. High toughness, heart, intimidation, and conditioning would seem important - but it all makes them better against the pass. Run defense still sucks.

Granted some of the other good run rating teams sucks; rushing is just that good. For ACU Eagles - we’re missing a serious amount of tackles (front seven) in rookie. When we’re good we’re pretty good. When we’re bad, we stink (unless we magically decide we do indeed know how to play football and make it look like less of a spanking).

It’s either - “blitz and you’ll have better results” or “don’t blitz and you’ll have better results”. Eventually there’ll need to be a general consensus.

Or, your team doesn't have the builds for blitzing. There are a number of teams that are very good at blitzing.

I own prodigy, we do not blitz almost ever. thats just our DL doing work

And of the 18 defensive plays the team uses... 9 are blitz.

Do you even watch your team? You should. They're actually pretty good.

Another reason the data could be misleading is that Harlem blitzes every play, but teams know that and often just run the ball. So high blitz rate may not coincidence with high sack rate.

So let's clarify some things about blitzing. In rookie, vs teams not knowing how to handle a blitzing LB, blitzing looks amazing. Blitzing in rookie generally does pretty well, so it feels like blitz works. More seasoned owners just pick plays that counter, usually. As seasons progress, the power of lb blitz weakens. So in the current meta of the game, if you have a blitzing LB, you may be disappointed about their results. Sure, vs cpu or weaker opponents, it will look great, but to win that ring vs top tier owners, good luck.
