tags are not as oppressive as they were in seasons past, builds matter more than last season.

you can still build with opposite tags fairly effectively however. so i wouldn't be shocked with a small change here targeting builds without minimum investments into the appropriate skills. IE: if you don't have at least 40 break run block you don't get a buff to that skill. ETC for other skills.

The recent changes have probably moved tags out of the OP category and into the very strong area.

Spam protection is a joke and probably needs to be changed to provide a stacking buff like current tags

With the Knowledge function in place, I don't know why we even need tags. In-game adjustments would be far better. Defense tactics has a Basic Strategy & Prevent section, an Adjustments sections could be great if possible. Would just need triggers that aren't based on how many points ahead/behind you are, but instead the percentage of runs/pass, ins/outs are ran. That would prevent spam more so than now, and also not allow what Raid is describing.

This is pretty brilliant.

I love BoDiddley suggestion, only flaw is it makes it more like GLB1 tactics and could become too great for some users in complication. I love the idea but we do know glb2 was supposed to be the easier game-planning side in comparison. If they implement it I would love it but could see the resistance.

In essence, this is the Play Diversity bonus.

The problem is that the Play Diversity bonus clearly isn't large enough (or doesn't benefit the Defense - I don't think it does).

What should happen is that the LACK of Play Diversity becomes a penalty - automatically.

You want to run 60 times a game? Well after the first Qtr, the lack of diversity means that the Defense keeps getting a larger and larger run tag bonus to their team.

If you call 30 different runs and 30 different passing, then your GROSS Play Diversity is 60 plays, but your NET Play Diversity is zero. The Offense should be getting a big bonus.

If you call 5 different runs 12 times, then your GROSS Play Diversity is 5 plays, but your NET Play Diversity is Run+60. The Offense should be getting a huge negative - or the Defense should be getting a big Run tag bonus (even on plays tagged Pass).
