I mean, that's not really how physics works lol

lol, fair enough. But some arc, and not low hanging fruit for a defender would be expected though.

This is how a cannon arm throws deep over defenders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vL13Q2vw3Ds

Thats how physics works. If U put up superb spin on the ball it will be a nice arc.

Mayby combine it with pass tech a little?

Sure, but I'm guessing most 50 yard passes in this game also have quite a bit of arc as well. Not even sure an actual cannon could achieve a low trajectory over that distance.

I will concede that in a perfect world QBs would have more ability to modulate their passing power and throw the ball high or low to avoid defenders, but that really might be asking too much.

I'll see if Bort is up to the task though.

Might be a nice use of pass awareness

That said Pass Power should play a bigger factor in general for defensive reaction time not just interception %

Noodle arm guys with lower pass velocity have defenders reacting to the ball more and more on longer throws

Actual power passing reducing the amount of reaction time the defenders receive

I would assume pass awareness is more of a "he's open or covered" check. then gives a timer before on to the next target.

Would be greatly appreciated if possibly, but can imagine it might be a heavy lift to pull off.

it "feels like" its almost a complete change in code for passing to add elevation, unless its just a visual stiumulation and the game is just saying "Player A threw to player C, then player A makes his rolls and it says Player D (defender) is in the path of pass. Player D makes a defensive roll and it is intercepted). The games we "watch" are just a visual aid.

I always thought you could add a passing style to QB's like you have running styles for HB's. Something like say he lofts passes for deep throw accuracy but hurts his quick throws, etc for a dime dropper style with visual aid... and like a bullet style which helps on short passes but hurts deep throws with a visual aid.

Nothing over the top, just slight bonus with visual representation.

just change the end point where the pass is received.... plays like these could be a TD to the TE where the QB throws it further down feld lofts it over the top

tehnically they might be able to change the trigger maybe, lower INT chances on throws 10 yards or longer if receiver is open or something, depends on how their rules are set up

because the int would have to be first... they could in theory (depending on code) lower the radius of INTs

This is a good point that has been pointed out before - QBs throw straight at the receiver instead of leading the receiver

I've seen the QB throw over the shoulder catches before. Maybe the QB has bad accuracy? The TE had to stop and turn around to catch the ball.
