Ya a bit of a cost associated with missing the cut off for building experienced players, but with the intent of retiring them prior to building a rookie roster would offset the cost somewhat.

You still get flex back when you retire the players. Just not as much as you put in.

It's about as cheap as what Butler was planning to do though, which was make a bunch of experienced players to get the S*. With this you're making 3 players at a time, converting, catching up, retiring to get some flex back, then repeat for 4 games.

The other option is to try and run 3 players to Vet on pickups. Much cheaper, but 120 games vs 4 games.

Yeah that's pretty brilliant. I do think ph33p has a valid point about the cost, but it is much less time consuming than having to do 360 pickup games before the season ends... and more for more stars.

I'll pay an extra $50 to get back the time. My time is worth $$$

You sure this works?

I'd be so paranoid as to just run all of them through a pickup season with a timer to remind me to keep putting them all in for a new game over the course of a couple days. But if that shortcut works, that's helpful... I'd just be concerned about the game not counting the season's progress since the player becomes real after the 'cutoff' date for real players to gain their xp at the end of the season..

What’s the difference between a player who started at day 15 without experience checked and a pick up player, who plays one game, coverts to a real player? They both would have some but not all game experience for rookie season. They both should be able to catch up.

Yep, agents have been doing it since PuPs were able to be converted to Real dots. I thought everyone knew about it.

I knew you could catch a converted player up to a team that way, the superstar progress counting, I didn't know one way or the other.

I was worried that since Bort coded for players created after certain date to not get superstar progress, that the conversion process might cause the player to be 'created' on the day of conversion.

Since the pickup player only played in 1 game, the game thinks he was created on day 1....I would assume.

If it used that logic to determine creation date, anyone making an experienced player with one game to go would also be good to go.

It's more than likely based upon creation day in the season and only tagged for players who are being made 'experienced' - which would explain how this is possible, they aren't tagged experienced.

I suppose another workaround would be to make an unexperienced player before season end, sign him to a CPU team for at least 1 game, catch up then transfer him in offseason... if indeed that is the case.

Yeah...I think would work. Less work too.
