GT's biggest legacy is finding out the Balance bug.

I would never build a S* FB mostly because the pool of FB centered plays to choose from is much smaller then HB

It's not really the lack of play counts that hurt. It's the bad pathing of the blocking the HB has to do.

Until it makes him a 50 point receiving option.

yes that was my initial reasoning of why you dont see enough, like a lot of poeple are pointing out, the cost for FB is to high for the group its classed with. because the limitations of FB based plays and the fact the HB has lower cost for sprint and the importance of the other players to choose fromin the FB list makes it almost a complete waste. few game plans can work with a S*FB but the play book each week would be almost based around him. passing limited, only 4 sweeps for FB in playbooks i think (could be wrong) so opposing teams know your pounding middle like a pot hole in middle lane on the free way you jus know its coming every time

Didn't stop Garbage Truck from having a 12,000-yd season with 142 TDs. Then again, the entire team was based around blocking for him, so that's not going to be easy to replicate. Especially since he broke Balance.

What if you had a S* FB that is a power runner and could be inside and off tackle and then a S* HB that is speed elusive for outside and off tackle as well. Now your able to specialize which back does what because of the different positions. Just a thought.

And outside blocking for FBs is already shibby enough as it is, so opposing teams would never have to fear outside run against 2WR

I found another agent intrigued as i am on the S*FB idea, we are going to build a team around the S*FB. Will edit post at start of season with team link so people can watch its progression or its own demise lol

Can anyone elaborate more on this?

A power S* FB cost far less than a 2nd S* HB though.

Mid-level S* tend to be system specific. A big reason why I made a S* FB for example, was to push a Play Action based system, where I have two power backs, a QB with 90+ Leadership, and a HB with 90+ Carry Awareness. The effectiveness of Play Action has been underwhelming, lol....but the S* FB has still been the best non tier 3 star for my team. Have a non-star DE not even fully boosted who's #3 on defense. Doubt a S* would add much value. Since the passing nerf, don't see super value in S* TE/WRs either. An argument can be made for SS, but I'm running a zone this run.

Xars is right though, HBs don't block well for FBs. They do fine for my rQBs however.

For the longest time balance wasn't really a huge part in staying upright or breaking tackles so backs were being made with pretty much just maxed sprinting, power running, conditioning, and carry grip. Stopping them was hard.
