idk stobie or the others and glb2 frustrates me to no end and i cant seem to quit, this is one the best strategy games I've played and I've played a lot of them, i'd hate to see it end. What bothers me is some of the other browser games I played have either been forced out by changes or are going to be forced out eventually, We talked one game into making a 2nd version for steam because we refused to let him give up and he is just 1 guy doing everything. I'm not sure what is going on around here because I never bothered reading the forums but why not a glb3 or something? you have a dedicated core of loyal players that would stick around till they die no doubt. Are you guys planning on throwing in the towel or something?

sounds awesome but I'm not sure how they would improve the game for a third version really. The first version is still going and people play it. It is SUPER complicated and very detailed gameplans. I am a vet from like season 2 there. loved the game but this is still complicated and simpler at the same time.

I’ve been playing since like season 7 of GLB1. They got at lot of things right here but missed on a couple things. I think there is a lot they could improve on for a GLB3, but would anyone play it?

I miss the old training system, the new one made things much more cookie cutter build style and easier to fuck up overall.

And no training at all made 2 super relaxed, but also killed that flavor of things.

I just want the same few suggestions I make every year... less tiers/more seasons at vet, fix/add SA's, more off/def plays (really really want more 4-3 shallow formation for man and zone defense in general), and add option for defenses to pick different plays vs 2TE sets depending on if there is a FB or not.

glb3 that I was talking about would be for steam, so yeah probably something like thousands upon thousands of new players if not millions, I wasn't even proposing they changed the game itself just make it were it can be accessed by steam, if they did change things about the game itself I wouldn't know what to ask for honestly.. virtual simulation I guess? you can zoom in and follow the ball or player..or make it were you can only coach for 1 team per rank/lv team. idk but i'd be happy with it being the same game, just on steam. I think the player base and leagues would skyrocket

Steam is ok, but I still think a game like GLB would do really well on the mobile markets. It's perfect for microtransactions, and far better than other sports sim games on either store. The game's layout and sim engine would work well there too

What many are missing is that let's be honest with ourselves. This game style is a niche platform. You will never get the masses that are needed for the development dollars to actually build a game that is on par to the expectations of the consumer.

You would have to break the whole PVP model that exists today to entice the players needed. I've had this argument countless times and the reality is that GLB as we know will NEVER fit into the mass user market. What makes this game is the fact you can gameplan and set things up for a certain time game which requires a delayed schedule. People just don't have the patience or the attention span for that generally. Other thing, is you have to make it mobile friendly, which lets be honest. This game is not. There are so many more points I could bring up and I don't mind having a debate with someone about this but frankly unless Bort and co get a MASSIVE investor and they are willing to complete redesign from the frame up with new codebases, new concepts and new market, there will probably never be a GLB3.

If you search/google American football mmo all you find is 1 game GLB, yes folks on steam would eat this up. Anyone else here beleive the masses wouldn't like this game exactly the way it is?, even I don't believe that

And!!!... you can do it open beta or ..closed then open whatever however it works and get the development dollars in real time from real players as they join. maybe a good trailer would be the most work right off, and there are many tools on steam free to use blahbiddy blah blah…
Maybe you just start off with 1 little stick figure or whatever and take years to finish, steam don't mind

Even if all you did was lie and just make a trailer for steam talking about a glb3 it would attract new players here.

A Steam, you tube trailer might be the easiest thing to do to get folks running this way with little work and risk, it would have to be good like a super bowl day feeling to it. I've seen some pretty good plays thats sure to grab anyone's attention and curiosity.

This is the only American football mmorpg to exist as far as I know, why wouldn't it work? its ingenious. I cant believe its the only one tbh. If y'all wait someone else is eventually going to do it and then y'all just going to sitting there mad when it happens

The java/flash game niche has ported well over to mobile. All the heavy lifting is done by GLB servers already, so it would only need an app frontend.

GLB wouldn't become a top game or anything like that, but it would tap in a MUCH bigger market than the dwindling browser game niche. Microtrasactions are far easier, and even an influx of a few hundered new users would be huge. I know it won't happen, but that's too bad
