There is not going to be enough teams to fill multiple tiers soon. People are so damn stubborn and think the way it has been is the only way. We run off new players as soon as they sign up. What is going to keep new players logging in if we just continue down the same path?

We already dropped a tier and it was just a band-aid and we are back the where we were, even worse because it’s the system itself is critically flawed.

The original peewee system was damn near flawless experience for new players and vets alike. This system is anything but that. Have fun progressing though a three team tier because the new players all disappeared.

I'd prefer one tier too. I just don't see Bort making any radical changes. Especially changes that probably lead to less money being spent on the game.

I also see the merit in multiple tiers. Multiple tiers provide a more dynamic experience. But having 5 tiers, two of which are hardly populated, makes no sense and needs to be addressed.

Just like GLB1 the mid tiers are boring and uninspired. Playing a team five times in a season is not fun. Blowing the same team out twice a season through all the tiers is not fun for either team. Going into a season already knowing the playoff brackets is not very exciting. No forum posts for your tier after rookie is boring. Taking losses playing up a tier or two is fun but not fair. The mid tiers do nothing for me personally.

Delete Rookie Tier

They already deleted it. They will have to do it again and again as the game dies. As of right now it is the only tier newbs can compete at. Why rookie? It’s the only fun tier other than vet.

The players hardly have any skill points put to use. It's stupid.

You guys are all the same. Just want to blow out new players and make them log out permanently. In rookie there is parity and guys can compete and pull upsets where they would get their doors blown off with more SPs involved. If your goal is to run them off you have done a good job. Always all about you.

I’m lobbying for a system that only pairs us against the best. Maybe I should go full CPU next season.

I commend you for your Rookie team, but do you really not understand the relationship between Traits and SP costs?

You might think that having CPUs are a detriment at Rookie, but when you load all of them up with High contracts, you're adding +25 Heart to all of them. That's effectively 5000ish SPs that human builds don't have because they took Traits that had a salary cost with a longer term payoff. GLB2Scout shows you in the Virtual Player builder how many SPs you've effectively saved.

So again, grats on pup stomping Rookie with a High contract team and play calling Spam that gets wins. But aren't you doing it because it's fun to you?

So you honestly think CPUs are better than human players? Really? I just don’t want to spend a bunch of money on this game. I would be much much better off with human players. How come the other heavy CPU teams don’t have this huge mythical advantage?

What is the spam you’re referring to? I call almost everything. I have a balanced offense and mixed defense my tactics are pretty much the same as I use in vet except for the blitzes which don’t work past rookie. Talking about spam 95% pass is not exactly a model of diversity.

Could it possibly be I just outwork everyone? Boss and Hawaii owned us last season because he out coached me, it’s pretty simple. That is what winning in this game ultimately comes down to. That is why a tiered system is needed to separate teams like Whoville and Hawaii from others is needed.

Not what I said. I said that when you load them up with High contracts they have a 5000SP advantage. They aren't "better" but in early Rookie they aren't a lot worse.

Spam? Look at your Defense. You use the same MO/ZEB spam that only Newbs don't know.

Yeah, at Rookie. Which you've now stayed at for what? 5 seasons in a row?

Who's the Newb stomper? Me? or You?

Remember, this is what YOU stated:

So are you helping new players or driving them off?

Offensive play calls dictate defensive play calling.

I will likely never go on another vet run unfortunately. People openly recruit players from active teams now. I am not doing all that work planning out all the builds and suffering through the mid tiers just to have jerks poach my players and ruin my team just when I get to vet. That pretty much ruined the game for me because I have always had multi agent teams. I have tried to help dozens of players learn and understand the game.

I am forced to finish my time here in rookie. I am always in the tough reset league so I play very few new players.

Not for specific duties but I still firmly believe CPU linemen are better at early tiers than human. Whether that’s due to the blocking sp cost changes forever ago or not remains a question.

We do see other CPU teams at lowers tiers w similar setups have an edge but not sure if I’d say it’s a huge advantage. It’s not unfair it’s smart if anything... but glb1 users are accustomed to dominating CPUs, when it doesn’t happen here they’re confused. CPUs are fine in balanced spots - especially in early tiers - it’s specialized roles (like blitzing LBs) where they are less effective.

The game is still predominantly about playcalling [to a scheme]. You can do that pretty easily early tiers with just a handful of human players - esp with the now available traits.

Back on topic tho I wouldn’t mind the game being condensed to 3 tiers I just don’t know how they’ll deal with current players and play knowledge. A lot of the game is read and react to how your players are doing, if one week my WR drops a pass I think ok I need to invest in pass-catching skills. The game loses its appeal to me if there’s no progression - newer players [and existing if we ever get another sim change] aren’t going to have the benefit of read-and-react building if they’re just given one huge lump of SP and AP.

Not to be a dick, but arent you the one who keeps resetting and destroying new teams because you take advantage of the low teams with playcalling and only building the players to maximize the exploit?
