a -1 on that, really? You've never heard that KY was called God's country before? or that it's a slang for the middle of nowhere? or slang for the mountains of KY? FFS.

I think they are salty about Kentucky for some reason. Probably beat his alma mater in basketball lol

The "backwoods shithole" part. Such love for your hometown.
My hometown has a population of around 1000, more than 40 percent below the poverty line and more than that on meth. No love at all, only sad I couldn't get out sooner.
If I'd stayed I would still be commuting over an hour to work for around minimum wage, maybe slightly higher if I stuck to it for several years.
It's a shithole that hasn't recovered from the recession in 2008. Or the recession before that. Or the one before that. It's still trying to recover from the Great Depression. It was a boom town in the 1920's, until the coal mines dried up and/or switched to more automation. Now it's a pit of despair sustained by welfare checks and meth.

Sounds pretty depressing. I interpreted "backwoods shithole" more as a joke than a literal descriptor.

I guess I'm kinda ignorant to the plight of mid-west meth towns. At least you got out Corndog. In New England our drug of choice is heroine.

South Bend has all the police officers carry Naloxone and there are free public training sessions on how to use the drug on overdose patients every month at the St. Joseph County Library.

A lot of people are. Even more people are confused about the why.
