Bourbon Street and Zombie Patrol have the same cast but the final score was 3-0. Hardly throwing the game. Nothing to see there at all. I see nothing at all, nothing.
Well for Bourbon Street and Zombie, both teams ran their basic strats and let the game play out. After the season Zombie will reset to rookie anyway. Zombie patrol is mainly a CPU team, though it is attracting some new agents over time. The plan is to fill out Zombie patrol next season with human agents - using time-tested strategies (game-planning wise). The teams purpose is to teach new players really. Never any discussion about throwing the game one way or another. Bourbon Street on the other hand will move to sophomore and acquire some super stars and hopefully be a bit more competitive. Sorry, no "Deep State" here.
I've considered throwing games in the past to get a more favorable playoff matchup but never did because I wanted ladder gold. I once tried to throw a game using bogus tactics against a league foe I was facing the following week in the first round of the playoffs. Unfortunately we won anyways so it made the playoff game even harder. But I have never gone this far...

Originally posted by mcspud The way that there is cooperation between teams in the form of game-fixing is ridiculous. I see a simple way to create a feeling of real and open competition. Simply do not let owners coach or manage other teams in the same league. The community is rife with open conflict of interest.
Don't expect for me to support a a game (even one as cool as this one) if open corruption is allowed.
As mentioned in other thread you created and here.... vet agents assist newcomers. Most folks take GM/ coach roles simply to either assist, advice, or just for lol sake. It's possible when those agents are accepted into these positions, owners plug n play their set offenses/ defenses. The downside of this strategy... those plug and play O/D are designed for that agents own team, therefore its not going to work well. There's no reason to throw games, nor have I ever heard of this strategy being used in this glb2. Maybe in the first 10 seasons, but now that there's so little owners who run their own team, this arguement becomes invaild.
I'm conspiring, last season I threw the last 4 games to get out of the playoffs, because the playoff teams were too tough and I was letting my team go... there you happy.
