Revert balance changes for defense. It is bad on offense. It is unwatchable on defense. And it has really crippled making dynamic defenders and defenses.

Work on adding every single defense play in SOV's main post. They should be simple because they are just variations of everything already in the game and all would be super helpful.

Overall, I'm fine with the current state of "balance" in the game.

However, if they do revert it back, they need to provide free full re-specs to all players so that those agents that were building with the balance changes in mind can go back to having no balance like it used to be. (Based on past actions, they won't provide the re-specs and will just screw over those of us who have been putting some points into balance).

this is just tiresome to watch.

balance can have an impact without it making the game just look silly. i dont want to revert to needing no balance but there should be a plus and minus to having it or not. not just a straight negative to not having it.

two more issues:

- need to free up enough salary to add a player on "medium" contract to add a new player (low contract gives you a notice they will put you above the salary cap even if its completely wrong)

- even with "auto cut CPU" selected, adding a new players salary does not factor in the CPU players salary being cut as part of the transaction, so you have to essentially lower real players to low contract to make up room, then add the player all the way at medium contract, then cut the CPU player, then priv message DD begging him to fix the chemistry on all the players you had to drop to low contract. this could be done same day or 7 games into the season.

both are completely ridiculous

...and, as season kickoff nears, hope continues to fade that ANYTHING is going to be done.

That play I wouldn’t put to balance though. That’s more of an issue with mechanics of coverage itself. Could that be the cb turned way to soon and was never in backpedal to make a read on ball? But mainly just bad mechanic of coverage itself to me. If it happened less often or there was a que to common build issues I could see. But I have seen many varied builds all do the same things regardless of high balance

The play didn't even look bad to me. It was a good Offensive playcall against a bad Defensive playcall. The RB picked up a rusher, the QB had his Quick Read fire, the WR had his First Step fire, the WR ran a quick sharp route, the QB throw a high velocity accurate pass. It's a difficult play to defend in the NFL when executed properly.

You want to see silly balance issues? How about the FS toppling over as his Closing Speed kicks in:

I think he means his S* LB falling flat on his face while blitzing. Yeah, that does suck. What is that guy's balance at? I don't think I've seen that happen to the LBs on the Robots and they all have at least 40ish balance I think.

The rusher fell over untouched.

yes. so stupid. the game has enough randomness to it as is that we didnt need the extra randomness of falling over trying to run towards the ball added in.
