I decided to buy a team so my players would at least have a stable human owner that would play them. I've had the team ever since.

Many experienced owners have bought teams for new players specifically to play on. A noble idea, unfortunately almost everyone of those new players go inactive after a couple seasons.

Definitely some structure based problems holding new players back. I'm not sure if a draft would help much if at all. Maybe some subscription type thing could help some but probably not really.

Really i don't pay for things in many games so I can't buy a team cuz I got no flex points

ok so there would be a league people could join with the understanding that the player is playing on CPU teams that are meant to be prospects for higher up teams. The league instantly opens up builds and allows owners to see how guys are building players and then allows the managers of teams to contact those players with deals. I think GM's and owners should be able to tag players that they like in the practice league and be able to follow their progress and allow those guys to be picked up if needed.

So what tier is this league? Who would be looking for these players like these? How many QBs, HBs, and WRs will be one these teams? What is the difference between these teams and regular CPU owned teams?

the practice squads need to be in each division. Im not saying this should be implemented, but i think it would help with the guys that did not get drafted and allow team owners to have players to get back up players for their drafted teams if some players dont work out.

Doing a seasonal draft for a whole tier would be a lot of fun. All teams/agents would have to be on board though as chem would start at 50 each season (would be cool if chem started at 100 for this approach) and it may be tough to gain buy in from all agents who own players. Another potential issue would be salary cap. An open draft each season would balance a tier as much as possible with players/builds but coaching is a huge difference as we know and not all agents may be open to playing a season on a team where their stats may be inferior. If a draft was done at the end of each season for a tier though, it would likely create the most exciting experience that owners/agents have had in a long time for a tier. It would likely leave every team with specific strengths and weaknesses on player builds though and would integrate quality agents/owners/coaches with lesser established agents. The amount of knowledge gained from those lesser established agents could be big although not all of them communicate with others well.

It would be a blast though!

only way this would EVER work is if the admins got heavily involved (LOL!) and made one new rookie league a "draft" league. meaning, aside from the standard options of making a new player or a new PUP player, there would be a third option to create a new "draft" player. all the created "draft" players would have their builds opened by default and would be entered in a player pool sorted by position and ready to be drafted by 12 team owners who purchased "draft" league teams.

live draft wouldn't be an option - but - I am sure the great minds of the admins here could figure out a way to make the draft part work that our puny peons brains could not comprehend.

HOWEVER, lets do a bit of math quick. lets say, what, 100 total "active agents" on the forums currently. lets round players per team to 40. 12 teams total in a league. to fill up a 12 team league, it takes approximately ~500 players.

by this math, it would take each "active agent" to make 5 "draft" players each to even have a chance of making this work. personally, i dont even make 5 flex players for my own teams let alone some crazy draft team, so i just dont see this ever working out. even with 1-2 "free" draft players per account.

Maybe they should give everybody a "free" draft player.
