That was great. Doesn't happen very often that I've seen though.

If you could have an SA enabling say... elusive running rolls to fire well immediately after the catch, or add this % to CiS, then maybe people could build some elusive running to a S* WR, and we'd see a lot more plays like the above? Thats the first thought that came to mind anyway

Exactly my point in another thread about zone shark. Only one of those replays, the pass to gronk in the middle was a viable play for the sa to fire and reasonably be in the play. All the others are the only times you see yac due to guys getting neat over the top or only seeing deep man cover

I think Zone Shark could be effective on SSs & LBs since they are in better position when it would fire(matched up against TEs, or in front of WRs, to make a play). CBs not so much, though power CBs do well in man coverage.

In most of the cover 2/3 zone plays CB's and LB's should rake with the SA. The problem is they don't because it is more likely to get a pass over the top than underneath where the SA fires. Meaning that the coverage guys underneath are generally trailing the play in this game because passes are often 10+ yards. If this was an SA opened up to more than just underneath coverage and given just a must be in zone mentality, it might have a lot more merit for hard hitting over the top action. Right now it is clearly wasted on all our players from all the zones I have tried this season in scrimmages.

zone shark is a waste which sucks, It never fires right and the Robber plays don't work so well.

Try nickel Tampa 2 Sink. New play was added this off season. It's the best non-blitzing zone play.

I'll run it a lil later and show it for ya with our zone team.

I'm not entirely set up for nickel as we only have 2 zone cbs but you can probably get a gist with a regular cb at cb1.

Is that good for Vet? You had him at 16 points until 8:00 left in the game.

Rusty is the zone team.

Edit: On the plus side Zone Shark fired a ton. On the not so plus side it seems really weak in comparison to a monster hit. Definitely a waste on an investment. Your play doesn't look too bad though. Those zone guys aren't heavily invested in deflection or anything as it isn't really meant to be a full time zone from me, just certain times in the game as a hybrid defense.

Yeah, I don't invest in zone shark much, if any. Monster Hit and high power tackle is the way to go for zone defenders. I've always built Vader that way and he is always in the tops for knocked loose and FFum.
