you run that up the middle for a touchdown and the dc for that team is on here freaking out. goes both ways. either way outside pitches can be pretty iffy in short yardage. Those were your settings, not the games.

That is a situation that is always built to go for it in this game. But it was your choice to run a pitch on 4th and short.

You know you are going for it there though. That is the point. Whether or not you do isn't a thing. You are. Certainly there are a lot of situations in which I wish the game did something different, but that is a situation that is built in and is known.
