I put a lot in accuracy for coffin corners. It helps tremendously.

Do you do high hands as well, or is accuracy enough for coffins/inside 20s?

Hands usually end at around 55.

So it doesn't sound like it does much of anything...

Sounds like putting more into power and accuracy will do more for "punt quality" than hands.

They all contribute in some ways, just more than others, I guess.

I went with a Accuracy/Intim Punter for the first few seasons of LZBoys (v1).

Out of his last 142 Punts that were Inside the 20, ZERO were Inside the 5.

This is with 85 Accuracy.

So please define "helps tremendously"?

The only thing that helps with coffin corners is having your punter punt from inside the opponents 35 yard line. They don't really seem to attempt coffin corners until they are really close to the opponents end zone. So most of the time, it seems Punters don't really even make use of their accuracy except for a few times when they try a high angle punt, but coverage is shitty in the fact that they hesitate and switch angle when the ball is near the ground, which forces a lot of high angle punts into the end zone anyways. Point is, you may as well just pump punt power to 100 max.

fwiw I started ignoring that skill several seasons ago, and I'm pretty sure none of my teams have had a fumbled punt since then. It used to happen more like 1-3 times per season in Rookie, but now it seems almost non-existent.

I use a Rookie punter most seasons too, so I've definitely had some chances for it to happen.
