My block tech and block power are already so high, those SPs invested in intimidation seem used better than adding another 5 or so to block power.

It won't have the effect you're looking for. Given that OL skills are super expensive, I'm positive you can better use that SP elsewhere.

The biggest issue with intimidation is it costs a ton for what it does.

Intimidation still drains energy each hit, or does that matter anymore either?

Yes it does but with more players having a higher Conditioning skill value, it seems they have larger energy pools and get energy back faster. Add in Lineman with high Toughness values, which you can now take higher because of not spending SP on Intimidation, and here's what's happening:

Lineman A went high Intimidation
Lineman B went high Conditioning and Toughness

1. Lineman A beats Lineman B and has high Intimidation causing an energy drain
2. Lineman B mitigates Intimidation energy drain with Toughness (always been true, but if players have higher Toughness levels now because they aren't investing in Intimidation than they are mitigating the effect more.)
3. Lineman B gains back some energy for the next play. High conditioning allows for a greater recovery than Lineman A.
4. Gravitation kicks in. (Maybe this happens before #3 but if they both happen before the next play there's no(?) difference to the order.)

You can still go high in Conditioning, Toughness and medium in Intimidation. I like to take Intimidation to a medium level....around 50. That takes away between 3-5 run block tech/power, depending how high those are. I would rather have 45 intim and 70 run block power than 17 intim and 73 run block power.

I don't see intimidation SPs taking away from conditioning or toughness. Those should already be maxed. And I am also leaving confidence at 1.

They are saying that isn't worth to get medium intimidation, it would be better to invest in other skills, and intimidation would be only worth with high skills, but this would take too much sps. Specially a non S*.

I agree, but when it comes to tackling these super hb's I have noticed if its a bad weather game they can still suffer big morale losses... speaking about the cold games respectively.

You don't necessarily need high intim to cause a drain. It just causes a bigger drain.

But you need to win the blocking interaction to have any sort of drain. If you lose, it doesn't matter how much intim you have. The other guy's morale is going up and yours is going down. So blocking skills come first. And, with blocking skills coming first, getting a pancake will drain more morale than simply winning a blocking interaction with high intim, so you might as well plow those SP into power that does other stuff too.
