I actually wouldn't mind Ryan Kelly myself. He should be a very good center in the league and Swanson graded out as our worst lineman last year by far. The center is always undervalued but they are making the line calls and pointing out blitzers when they come to the line which makes them quite important.

I agree that centers are vital but if you are taking a center in the first round and especially in the top 20 he absolutely needs to be a STUD perennial all pro to justify the selection IMO. I do believe that a fair amount of their issues along the OLine last season was due to the departure of Raiola and calling out all of the blocking assignments and what not. I will say that I had pretty high hopes for Swanson last season as the previous year I think he looked pretty good at guard. Swanson "could" still be the guy at center if he gets his head out of his a**. He also "could" just be better at guard or he "could" be garbage if does not develop further or if he actually managed to go backwards in development by making the shift to center which is what they drafted him to do. I agree that Ryan Kelly would be alright with me for the smarts, leadership and so on that he oozes along with natural ability. He will surely anchor an offensive line moving forward and should be wherever he is drafted for the next decade or so. Just not sure if I support taking a center at 16. If we do and he is a perennial pro bowler then the value is certainly right. If not though...

I am kind of guessing that the pick will be a defender or OT though. Ryan Kelly would not shock or surprise me though. I will be upset if they take a DE in round 1 though. I really like me some Devin Taylor and I think he is going to blow up this season as the full time starter opposite of Ansah.

Ravens Fan here - I'm hoping for Tunsil if he fails! If not Buckner looks good. I like Myles Jack but I'm worried about how long he can play. Ramsey would help but I don't think he will fail to 6.

Bama fan here and more of a college guy than NFL. More than anything, I really want to see how Derrick Henry fares at the next level.

He's facing the same arguments he did coming out of HS. Despite setting the national career rushing record in HS, many projected him as an OLB in college. He's much lankier than the usual HB, with a higher center of gravity. His lateral change of direction isn't top notch, and he frequently goes down easily around the LOS if he's hit below the waist. His hands are probably below avg for a HB.

That being said, he did just win the Heisman. He's absolutely elite in the open field. He has great top-end speed and a brutal stiff arm that he uses to keep defenders away from his body. He also has surprisingly elite quickness, which you wouldn't expect from his footwork issues. Sports Science did a segment on him (and Zeke Elliott) and said his 5-yard split was the best of any player they'd tested in the last 3 drafts. Combine that with his size that they compared to the force of a wrecking ball, and his elite work ethic+attitude+durability..and yeah, it's tough to bet against him.

Ozzie (Baltimore GM) loves Bama Players. Wouldn't mind seeing Henry with Baltimore in Round 2 or 3 if he fails ( i don't think he will)

Everything I have read has Henry pegged to go somewhere in the 2nd round. Back end of the 1st round could be possible though as well. Would Denver continue its holding pattern on QB for this season and take him at the end of the 1st (don't think Anderson resigned and think they need a RB as Hillman left as well if I remember correctly). It would be really ballsy but I would not put something like that past Elway if he does not like what is available there and does not trade up to go after a guy which may not be there for them. Personally I would be interested to see Connor Cook in Denver. It would not surprise me if Cook played very well there right out of the gate with all of that support. I admittedly do not know a ton about Lynch but have read that Denver likes him which may be a smoke screen if they are planning to snag Cook either way.

I like Ryan Kelly a lot, but I'm not sure I'd take him in the 1st personally. I feel like the drop off from him to the next tier of OCs isn't enough to justify passing over some of the talent out there at DL, LB, etc. I do think he's a really safe pick though, in terms of having a high floor.

Anderson did resign. He signed an offer sheet with the Dolphins but the Broncos matched the offer.

Get off that sinking ship and jump back on the Bucs bandwagon.

Yeah, good to be Tennessee right now. They should be able to put together a lot of pieces around him this year and next year. I do like me some Mariota though. Both him and Winston look like future studs.
