50 is all the balance I use on my OL as well.

I wouldn't say I know a lot about balance. I know it's "supposed" to help with a lot of things. For LLUA, it almost feels like a tertiary skill. For a defensive tackle, the main roll is RBT. If that fails, then there's a hold ground check. Balance seems to be a part of the equation, but a small part of it.

One with 40, one with 44. I currently don't see a need for Roger to go higher. Thought maybe the less revcakes on the higher balance player might indicate something, but then i realized Roger plays 2.5x the amount. One flaw I can see in my approach is I haven't really seen how it effects pass rush/block interactions. But to me, for the run, it seems like having a super high tech advantage is the key to getting cakes. If you're winning the tech rolls, you don't have to worry so much about balance/falling on your butt. I believe that enough to where I am ignoring run block power on my lineman. Tech does 95% of the work. Once again, this is based off of my team's observation.
What I'd say with a bit more certainty is that balance is incredibly overrated on power backs. Everyone always expected 70+ balance from their powerbacks (MBP is designed to hit that and I wish he wasn't) but after seeing how much pandemonium Hammered is causing, I'm wondering how low it can go now. 50? 40? Just crank that toughness/power/conditioning up and you'll set all sorts of broken tackle records.
