Stop high jacking this thread. Name one good reason why any player should invest in DBP right now? That is my point. Give an SA to a skill that is useless so it can trigger builds around it and make builds vary more.

If it was just to break a sack, then it might be ok. But what is with the 15 to sprinting?

You'd be better off getting a moral boost for the QB, or doing morale and energy damage to the defender.

This is actually really sad to hear. What are his conditioning/toughness skills looking like? Does his morale/energy just deplete enough to allow the tackle. Would more conditioning/toughness allow the QB to actually break the tackle? You would think with speed blitzing LBs and pass rush specialist DEs that there would not be a ton of tackling skill levels and the QB should be able to just drop those guys with 80 DBP... So sad.

The sprinting was a joke.

Exactly. I am testing a QB right now who will end with 98 DBP and high toughness and stamina.

NOOOOOOO more SA's to help QB's break tackles/sacks...like we need more games like this where QB's run all day and don't even throw 1 single pass...
Again, Noooooooooo SA's to help these idiot QB's run all day long....sack the shit out of them until they learn to throw the ball
Get rid of games like this, this ain't football...this is hike and run http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/295781

This post exposes a complete lack of understanding of the mechanics of the sim...

That QB was running designed QB runs. That has nothing to do with DBP and breaking sacks i.e. this thread.

Also to argue against anything that make this game more dynamic is silly at this point. Did you see how active the forums were after weather was added? Constant improvement/change is the only thing that will keep GLB2 alive.

I don't have an opinion on this one way or the other, but you need to get your head out or wherever it is that has you believin that GLB2 football mechanics work anything like the NFL, especially when the most consistent way to succeed in the passing game is by way of screens. I've seen plenty of high school football teams and even some college teams that rely heavily on their QB running with the ball in GLB2-esque fashion.

Isn't it pretty obvious that an SA powered by DBP would only be allowed to fire in sack situations or behind the LOS? Making more player build varieties viable would be great for all positions really. To do this some skills need some work done with them whether it is SA help or buffing the skills themselves. Imagine a game where players with many different build types were able to excel at the highest level and still be effective at what they are built to do. I am not saying that there is no variety but what I am saying is that many of us have experimented with many different concepts when building players and majority of the time they are drastically inferior to the cookie cutter builds that we know work. After countless seasons here what gets me excited is doing things a bit differently than the current META builds. I typically still have a META type of foundation on teams but try to add secondary and tertiary areas for player builds to excel at. I want to be able to do more things player build wise and still see them succeed in those areas. Is a high DBP QB going to pass the ball as well as one without? Probably not but it could make forking over all that extra money for a S* QB worthwhile. Hell, it could open up some different passing plays also.
