I will bet my account the first 50 people that signed up through fb have active glb and/or glb2 accounts.

You actually have to go to the Games section, then search for Goal Line Blitz 2 and you will find it. You can share from that point.
You can also find it in the "Sports" section scrolling through the available games, positioned based on its recommendation relevance to you (I think that's how it works). Same for Mighty Brawlers, which is in "Role Playing Games." We're also running FB ads, which are actually pretty effective in targeting potential members for FB games. Of course, sharing and liking, and even simply playing the game on FB also helps the game spread organically through your FB friends.
One of the cool things about playing on Facebook is that we can send you alerts, which means you get a FB alert when your player earns XP (assuming you don't turn it off). On Mighty Brawlers, you get an alert when your stamina is full. That really helps with retention, since it helps remind you about the game. I've already noticed quite a few people respond to come back and play another game with their pickup player, etc.
In any case, I'm glad to see all you guys excited to help new members have fun and find their way around!

Hi! I just started playing this game yesterday April 6th. I stumbled onto the game trough Facebook. I really do not know what the heck I am doing. I set up two players. I guess one is a pick up player and the other I am assuming is the one I created. I accepted an offer with San Jose Heat. I created a defensive tackle and a linebacker. Now I am here and have no real idea what to do. I guess from what I gather is if it says you have a game on April 7th then that is what it is. Literally. Ok, so what is next ? So far I am not intrigued. I hope I find my way back to this topic/session so I can see if anyone responded. Either way. Have a great day.

yeah it isn't your typical FB/mobile game where you have to check in constantly to build up little things here and there. You play two games every 3 days, with one off day (pickup players you can have play in a game about every hour). You will want to watch your player in game and to do that go to the replay of the game, then under the screen there are the list of players in on that particular play, you want to find your guy and hit follow. Then every play you go through you can watch your guy.
If you made a DT they can be kind of boring to watch, I suggest building a QB, HB, TE, WR, LB and then you will have more fun watching the game film.
After you players play in a game, they get SP which are just the points you assign to make your player better.
It isn't the super exciting "log in every 5 min to maximize building" type game though. I love it, and there are a ton of people that have been playing for almost what, 8ish years!?!?

Welcome to the game!
GLB2 is a 100% asynchronous multiplayer game, where games are set up ahead of time and simulated at a particular date and time. This gives coaches a bit of time to scout opponents and set up strategies, trash talk, and anticipate the upcoming game. It also gives players a chance to apply skill points and watch replays of their most recent performances (and trash talk
).
If you just want some football action more on demand, you can play with your pickup player. You can join the next pickup game whenever you like, and level up quickly.
Make sure to check out the General FAQ in the Help forum for a bit more info on how everything works: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum/thread/5135141

Yah I have been around since Season 1 of original GLB, took a hiatus but I have been involved with lots of backend GLB functions such as Tournaments, GLB Radio and GLB2Scout. Not to mention the campaign of Stobie4Admin which I would say is shaping up just like this presidential race.
Welcome facebook newbs...May the force be with you...Always!!!

I think I passed my 8 year anniversary about 2 weeks ago.. It's funny how it gets out and grabs you. Since then I've lived in three countries, received two degrees, worked multiple jobs... but I've still been logging on to GLB on a regular basis.
