btw my Ive only ever had 1 kicker for moose, and he sucks at both things. It just seems like I see lots of missed FGs, and not just my team.

I dont see why power isnt just a function of kicking off anyway hell some nfl teams use the punter with the stronger leg to kick off.

Agree. They should just have power, accuracy and consistency skills. Not kick off power and FG power.

This, punters should be an option for kick offs.

I did say in another thread that SR does seemingly have an effect, just not enough to make them on par with NFL kickers.

Especially now that kickers have to focus on both kickoffs and FGs

So I'm going through a few Veteran kickers and haven't found any examples yet.

Here's the question: Any kickers out there with a combined FG% + Touchback % that breaks 100?

I've found 4 guys that break 90, a few that break 80, and the vast majority are in the 60's/70's. An example, Band of Brothers kicker:
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/154485

FG% of 72.22 and a TB% of 18.84 = 90.06

He's also a S* kicker.

In comparison, Graham Gano in the NFL (took a random kicker), had a FG% of 83.3 and a TB% of 67.6% for a combined total of 150.9. A GLB Superstar kicker is so much worse than an NFL kicker it's ridiculous. Let's check out a few more.

Robbie Gould's combined total is 134.6
Dustin Hopkin's combined total is 157.7

To be fair, most kickers have been specialists leaning toward either FG accuracy or kickoff strength. This guy was over 120 though last season: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/171886

Porn's kicker is at 43.47 and 3.40 = 46.87

Looks like this guy barely made the cut: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/108990
53.19 and 48.38 = 101.57

If that's as good as it gets it's still pretty sad though.

Yeah, last season he qualified. Although with just 17 field goal attempts I'm going to call the 120 total dumb luck. This season he's at 65.78 + 33.72 for a combined 99.5. Really close.

When Superstar GLB2 Kickers aren't close to below average NFL Kickers...the sim needs to be adjusted.

Kickers need to be buffed.

NFL FG percentage, as a league, usually comes in between 80 and 85% every season. That includes blocks, which are impossible in this sim.

Not to mention most NFL kickers attempt more long field goals than GLB2 kickers who rarely if ever make 50+ yarders, while most NFL teams seem to have a safe FG range of 57 or so yards, which we wouldnt dare attempt here in GLB2 since kickers suck so much ass.

That build would be terrible. FGs need a lot of con.

Why is this?
