Oh, shoot any quick scrims my way if you'd like to test against some of the changes. I have a default play book and tactics in currently that is set for it.

If you find yourself up/down big though probably can just stop watching as I didn't play around in those sections.

I just took you up on it, and did quick scrimmages against Southside and Jarvis as well. About an ~80 percent screen call gameplan set. I left them public if anyone wants to analyze.

For HB screens, I found almost all of them non-viable. There's definitely a huge difference in terms of catching ability from my back. Singleback trips strong had a couple big plays:

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/273104/4467243 (how the hell your 5.2 speed corner caught an 89 speed/77 conditioning back is beyond me)

I'm not sure how much to blame play design rather than build design here. Trogdor has 18 quickness, and it seemed like he just never turned around fast enough to make a play with the ball.

I only ran 2 different WR screens. 16 out of 17 were caught, so that's a good sign. I WR Strong had great results, but I've never used screens before and I'm not sure if that's normal or not. No falling down with the catch though, so that looks improved!

Just got done watching it. Two things jump out. Lot of potential with the trips screen strong, which makes 3WR even more of a pain to plan against. Second, there was much more success with Dharan and screens, but MBP has 67 power, and tons of those screens would have been very pedestrian if he hadn't broken the first tackle. So definitely potential moving forward, but for seasoned I dunno if I'll be using anything other than the 1 RB one.

I'm running scrimmages against the same 3 teams, but with WR screens (as well as trips HB strong thrown in there). This isn't really a controlled experiment, as our linemen respecced into pull specialist. I'll report my findings here after I've looked at em if anyone's interested.

Edit: just kidding, I'm a moron and forgot to put in the playbook.

Cant say I've seen any of the left side screens do much but get blown up. OLB blitz in 3-4 can be taken advantage of by a few of the right side screens though and the weak side of a trips formation could be a big hitter too.

So screens are worse than worthless against zone defenses. Don't waste your time.

On a positive not, I'm very glad I chose to go the kickoff route instead of the high accuracy route. Lots of starting field position in the 35-40 yardline range.

Downvotes? Fine! I present exhibit A.

23 sacks against cover 3 tiger and some other zone blitzes. Screens are supposed to take advantage of blitzes.

Does anyone have evidence of screens tearing apart zones, or am I being thumbs down'd by teams that run zone so that everyone throws screens against them?

Yes GG, I blame our loss on the Kicker shenanigans of the past season. If we hadn't missed that field goal it would've been 24-3 instead of 24-0.
