I don't see a single team on their schedule capable of knocking them off!

Why no ladder games either?

I want to give props to the guys on staff for the San Antonio Gunslingers for doing their best to take an inactive team and make the best of it for as many ppl as they can.

A lot of uninteresting matchups this time, but a few decent ones.

Robot Lords of Tokyo have 2 consecutive impressive victories but I won't take them too seriously yet since they have never been a top 5 team before and have the same roster that went 15-15 last season. They drew a mediocre team though and have a winnable league game after that so they could definitely start the season 7-0. They might be worth keeping an eye on, but we'll see.

Hawaii, LogZilla, MEM, DD, Central, Whoville and Madison drew very winnable games.

#1 Animal Kingdom vs #5 Hostile Takeover

Animal Kingdom hit their stride at the perfect time. They finished last season strong with a victory over Hawaii in the league championship and managed to steal the #1 Pro ladder trophy as well. They have followed that up by starting their vet season at 5-0, which includes already knocking off two legit passing teams in Madison and BSB. Hostile Takeover is a team that have thrived while changing their playbooks very little. Their passing attack is one of the most prolific in GLB history, just look at the numbers their TE's have put up. This might be a good matchup for AK though. They held BSB and Madison under 20 points and should be able to outscore Hostile in this one.

#4 Bronx Bombers vs #13 Blood Sweat & Beers

A true heavyweight matchup here. Both teams have a combined seven #1 ladder trophies. This is a great measuring stick opportunity for BSB. Are they ready to compete for a top spot in vet or are they trending downward? They started off last season 24-4 but have went 4-4 in their past eight including a championship game loss to Erkner for the first time. I know that Detroit Leos will have his team ready to go for this one but I think Bronx is still the cream of the crop and will give BSB their 3rd loss this season.

#10 Djibouti Assassins vs #12 Freakville Swampcats

Freakville has been a sneaky good team for quite a while now. They have went 22 straight games without allowing 30 or more points. They almost never get blown out and seem to play up or down to their competition, so this should be a good one.

Can't wait for stobie's stat tracking (individual and team) to go live...stuff like this will be really fun even though it would be way better (but impossible I think) to go all the way back to season 1

BSB is at a disadvantage against BB I believe due to BSB not having the threat of a run game. Properly built pass defenses can hold pure passing attacks down enough from what I have seen. Hopefully BSB can overcome a tough BB defense and offense to pull out a win but we will see.

Let's hope it is a respectable game. Last time we played BSB was a tier down and got crushed. Skippy decides to impersonate bad Jay Cutler against good defenses. We will see how things shake out when the dust settles. Looking forward to better results this time around! Haha

I wouldn't read too much into the Madison/Animal Kingdom game

Last weekend I was on vacation in VA, so didn't gameplan at all... I think I ran exactly on offense and defense what I did against DA except subbed in one formation against 2 WR on D for fun. Researching their tendencies would have probably slowed them down a little more, but like our 2nd game against DA last season, they probably would have won anyway.

GG DA, didnt really live up to Rob.'s write up, although we tried to hang with the big boys, but your offense was just too much for us.

GG Sov. Had a few slip ups on our end and just a bit more than BB which was the difference. Ultimately we still managed to have a shot at the end there. Game looked much better this time around than when we were down a tier.

gameplan went much run heavier than i wanted, had me concerned because your LDE was shredding our OT all game. your D held strong in the red zone and forced 6 FGs, kept it a close one right down to the end so gg for sure

So did I haha. I cried when the screen fired from the 11. Haha. All good though. The fumble to start the 2nd half hurt pretty bad. Our defense did an amazing job today though overall. BB racked up 18 PDs on poor Skippy. For whatever reason BSB seems to be a slow starting team in games and we rarely hit our stride until the 2nd or 3rd quarter lately. Not sure why. I will have to do some data mining.
