I used to think balance was needed on coverage corner, but I've begun to change my opinion. I think now they may only need it if they are run specialist, IMO.

So I have 8 CBs at vet. 4 with 30 quickness and 4 with 16 quickness.
Comp rates for the 4 builds at 16 quickness are:
1 - 36%
2 - 35%
3 - 40%
4 - 48%
Average - 39.75%
Comp rates for the 4 builds at 30 quickness are:
1 - 34%
2 - 48%
3 - 36%
4 - 49%
Average - 41.25%
Slight advantage 16 quickness. All 8 are on teams in the top 10-15 of the Ladder as well.
The 4 with lower quick have a little more speed, but slightly less pass D skills.
Since two of Aeir's CBs are on LogZilla Boys, I'll add some team data to this discussion.
His two CBs (with 30 Quickness) are at 43.6% and 49.7% completion.
My two Egotist CBs (with 58 & 59 Quickness) are at 43.8% and 44.1% completion.
Combined it's 46.1% for his; 44.0% for mine. His have 401 total targets; mine have 430.
To me that's basically the same. Now they do cover different WRs and Route Structures, so some of that could come into play.
But what should not be dismissed is that his CBs have better Run D skills than mine and so I play them a lot in Combo situations. That's very valuable.
His CBs have very high Man Awareness, Cover Tech and Deflecting and Run D skills (more than mine), while mine have higher Consistency, Footwork, Quickness, Sprinting and Heart.
I think there are many ways to build a very good Cover CB.

EDIT: Reason I ask is because he is a rookie, nothing to retire him now and re-work the build. I know it is late into the season but I am desperate to get back into it and don't want to wait for 14.
He's not what I would look for in a corner. His deflecting cap is too low. I don't really like the idea of building up both Int and Deflection on someone (since they're expensive) without it either being a Superstar or an Early Bloomer specialist that shouldn't be used against teams who like to run the ball.
That said, I'm definitely not every GM. I think some solid GM's would be intrigued by a build (without a whole lot in the way of run defense) that could get to 85ish Footwork & Speed.

So I should make a cb with the goal being to get either deflection or INT above 75 max?
Also, what are good run support numbers for a man cover CB?

Go for 80+ with one and 30ish for the other.
Run Block Block of 50-60 is good for a Combo CB.
Pure Run CB should have BRB of 75+.
