After you announced it? Ya it sounded pretty lame. Nobody except for a bunch of chumps actually went out and diversified their playbook.

Before you announced how that it was gonna be a bonus everyone thought it was gonna be a penalty which would have been a game changer of sorts.

I did some initial testing with BSB and believe that I did notice it show up a bit but I do not believe the diversity bonus is too feasible as a pure pass or pure running team. Pure passing gives up too much completion % running some other plays and loses its consistency. Pure rushing is game planned to run against what defensive fronts you expect to see out of each formation so is typically limited and if you make the PB too big there you begin to give up consistent 1st downs as well. Giving up your ability to move the ball consistently for the duration of the game is not worth adding a few big plays to a game. Balanced offenses could take advantage of it much easier but even then I am not sure how many plays are required to fire before a bonus fires.

I know you don't like giving up game "secrets" but there are some things if you could clarify your intentions, with descriptions rather than code/detail, it would be helpful.

Let's do a thought experiment.

Let's say 0 chemistry is base attributes, and going above 0 chemistry is a bonus to your attributes.

Does that make chemistry meaningless?

So 5% bonus?

What if I told you that's how chemistry actually works?

So you can go over 100 in a skill?

a 5% bonus to say 100 man awareness on a cb only adds 5 points....thats not tremendous. but if you are saying its over 5% say at 90 chem then yes it could be a big factor.

The point he is trying to make is that we are upset that 50 Chem is -5% to stats and then we turn around and say that the diversity bonus isn't that great. My guess would be the diversity bonus has a cap of +5% that climbs as you keeping calling a mix of runs/pass.

True, but if you look at it SP wise it's pretty huge. For a 80 Speed, 80 Agility, 80 Hands, etc, etc guy you could be talking about 10-15k SPs across the build.

So my diversity bonus will kick in towards latter tiers.
