(I'm just hacking on Viper here - I thought GE's response was good and classy -- anytime someone comes in and says "he whipped me" - that's respect in my book)

More interesting to me is that Viper killed your offense with man base and cover 2 stuff.

Is the spreading of SPs trying to be a dual threat already hurting??

It's hard to run up the middle right now. My offense will be better beginning in Journeyman when my power HBs and FBs can run up the middle. Right now, teams are spreading out the defense and stop the outside runs. That man base is really spread out. The FS and SS are lining up on the outside to help stop the outside runs:

Another thing that killed me was this play:

I spammed outside run to the left side on 4WR. If I would have ran to the right side, I probably would have scored 30+ points...and I am not joking. Again, nice job of changing your defense cause when I scouted you, you were stopping the run to the right, not left vs 4 WR.

The LBer that has the HB would have followed to the right if you ran right and been free. Doubt you get 30+ from it. 1 or two biggish plays maybe

QB run would have killed it. My HB would have blocked your LB.

But what I did is exactly what I said I wouldn't do, which is spam plays out of one formation to one side. Every time I do that, it seems I picked the wrong side. I do much better not guessing and running to both sides.

took a gamble on that... if he would have spammed strong I qb runs i was screwed, i had a different playbook in until right before the game started. I got lucky that my guys got off blocks.

i was dumb to leave that blitz in, but Mut is right you would have gained more yards but not 30+ more points... FYI 30+ points you would have barely won and Mutley would have gotten more chances to score

Matchups for tomorrow, where there is a chance of an unbeaten falling:

Central vs MEM - This one will be extremely close. The two closest things to rushing Os in Vet square off, now that GA is converted, Richmond is reset, and Hub City is gone. MEM's run D is extremely stout. I don't know how much Central intends on passing - but we'll see if it is enough to get by MEM. I predict MEM will upset Central here, 21-17

No Name vs Virgins - Definitely losing one unbeaten here. Virgins Run O has looked unstoppable with the huge changes this past offseason. I am obviously biased but I think No Name will do enough on O to squeak out a win. No Name 35-28

Strange Music vs SNL - Strange Music has been on a tear thus far, absolutely smashing Air Farce in the last ladder matchup between the two previously unbeatens. SNL has looked great outside of a huge one-point upset to Odessa. I think SNL pulls it off and knocks off another undefeated. SNL 28-24

SACKS vs Arizona - The matchup last season helped decide #1 in the tier (although the Renegades ended up losing another one subsequent to that). This one is another big matchup between #2 and #3 right now. Both teams want this one in order to stay ahead in the ladder race. Going to be a homer and pick my team, SACKS, 21-14.

HoF vs DD 4.0 - DD has looked rough thus far, and HoF has looked amazing. This has the potential to be close though as b00n is a great OC/DC. I think HoF squeaks this one out in a game much closer than anticipated by some. HoF 21-20.
