I don't think Hawaii and the Stunners were in Vet at the same time. I believe Hawaii did a surprise reset right when Stunners joined the tier. I doubt Salty's users would argue, but that team shouldn't be used as a pinnacle, it had some issues. It's partially why they reset, and judging how well they've been doing post-reset, I'd bet they'd say Salty 2.0 is handily better than Salty 1.0.

Air Raid was a great team for 2-3 seasons and was at the forefront of passing offenses. That said, they took advantage of a different meta, had a bad defense, and Galithor's 2nd pet project (GA) would've creamed them. Well...maybe not creamed, but GA would've beat them by 2+ scores.

There were some bad teams in Vet that were "near the top" due to the previous ladder system.

You are correct. Hawaii reset as #1 when we hit vet.

air raid as a "great" team is a stretch but they were the first top notch pass only squad so that counts for something (imo)

Sunday funday wasn't a top notch pass only team? Or are we just counting the superstar era?

don't know anything about them. Did they even make it to vet?

Yep. My favorite thing is the ability to build a player and interactively see how the ratings change when you tweak something. I'm definitely building better players than I was before, just because of that.
