I'd argue the 50 morale thing is better for running than passing. It's easier to get a power back to perms 90+ morale ingame than qb/wrs. And powerbacks aren't as impacted to start the game @ 50 morale as qb/wrs trying to complete passes IMO.

The blocking nerfs have been harder on running. Running teams got nastier the season after the 50 morale change was made.

Because you've invested as many points into the skill meant to wear down opponents as you have diving.

Thanks for ratting me out Corndog...

Anyway, think my high contracts I gave to my OLine today helped me out. My OLine was pancaking fools in the 2nd half.

Passing O and Passing D need more Heart than Rushing O/D. True. I doubt it's a bad thing.

The Running game blocking nerfs have lessened the Morale hit the D takes over the game (via less pancakes). Which is good because a pure Run O beats up your Defense on O and then again on ST.

Overall, it seems ok. I don't think ever expecting perfect balance is realistic.

The Vet Ladder is:

Madison - 81% Pass
DA - 80% Pass (Top 2 Pass)
GA - 100% Run (1 Run - 2 Pass)
FSM - 58% Pass (1 Run - 3 Pass)
Richmond - 87% Run (2 Run - 3 Pass)
LogZilla - 97% Pass (2 Run - 4 Pass)
WCW - 100% Run (3 Run - 4 Pass)
LI Knights - 92% Run (4 Run - 4 Pass)
Whoville - 52% Pass (4 Run - 5 Pass)
Winnipeg - 100% Run (5 Run - 5 Pass)

Seems pretty balanced even if you think of it as: 5 Run - 3 Pass - 2 Balanced (FSM & Whoville)

On a Pure Basis (85%+), it's one Pass to five Run. But Madison and DA are pretty close to pure Pass O.

It's kinda hard to pump intimidation high when tech and power is so expensive. Guess you either choose pancakes or intimidation.

Exactly, the only values are 10 and 100. Any other value is rounded down to 10.

Any Corndog post should have a sarcasm meter.

Anyways GE, you could look at it this way, intimidation helps wear down the d-line which helps create pancakes in the 3rd/4th quarters.

Cause pancakes are what wins games.

Maybe just try and have your guys block long enough that the runner can gain yards. The longer they stay on the block the more energy the defender will use trying to get off said block. One quick pancake hurts moral but not so much energy right?

I think pancakes hurt energy too. But to hold on to the guy, you need a lot of tech. I guess if you have high tech and intimidation, you can hold the block and wear him down. Or just get high power and pancake him and make him lose moral/energy that way. I am going with pancakes because Pancake Chief SA is so powerful at gold. I am giving my guys some intimidation but not too much. About %80 of my SPs are going towards tech and power.

On my old team we had intimidation at 70+ with silver beat down, and we would frequently put up 10 or so points in the first 3 quarters then like 21 in the 4th alone.

Do you regret not taking Beat Down to Gold?

This was also before the nerf correct? So you couldn't get Intimidation, tech and power to 70+ now.
